WoW Petopia Community

Its been a while since I've posted here (primarily because I was on the verge of leaving WOW) but damn it, the combination of fun stuff in 4.3 + what sounds like a really fun expansion in Mists just drew me back in. And naturally renewed interest in WoW = visiting Petopia once more!

So it was just the icing on the cake that I read we will finally get to choose what spec our pets are - something I've asked for again and again on the official forums. Call me a nerd, but I'm more excited about that then I am the removal of min. range!

My scorpid Pokee (who's story I shared in another post last year) will finally get to stretch her tiny scorpid legs. While she's a great tank (I've even used her to help tank FL trash which was way fun) I'm thrilled that I will be able to use her as a viable dps pet as well.

Unfortunately its actually a -they're thinking- thing more then an actual fact, we havent gotten any confirmation yet :<

D'aww, I remember Pokee! She inspired me to grab one of those scorpid models on an alt hunter. ^^

Yes, the talent spec choice is very exciting. I don't think it's fully been guaranteed yet, just to be cautionary, but it seems pretty sure that's what they'll be doing.

But yeah I guess stuff is subject to change/not happen. Hopefully this does.

i completely agree that imo it's more of a 80/20 that its gonna be done but ive started to become more speculative then jumping onto the facts and riding them around the past couple days, ive never been as involved into what is to come before then 4.3 and MoP

Yeah it seems about 99% certain at this point now.

I agree Xa. So much hunter goodness coming between 4.3 and Mists!

And I've missed this place for what its worth! So many people I can relate to here in terms of actually caring about their pets and thinking of their hunters as more than numbers on a meter.

imo if they scrapped the talents entirely it'd probably save a lot of hassle, would work well with the knowledge that we might or are entirely getting our own talents scrapped and pick from key abilities instead

You're a nerd - but then so am I, because I feel exactly the same.

Not sure where I read this, (I seem to think it was the chat last night, but I can't find the quote), but when GC announced this, he also stated that they were thinking about removing the family abilities (or pet buffs I seem to be thinking).... which idk, kind of defeats the reasoning behind giving them those buffs in the first place.

I mean I know everyone wants to bring their favorite pet, but they seem to want to take away our utility again.

They said they were considering removing pet talent trees, not the same thing.
