So the new game Skyrim is coming out soon. Oblivion prided itself by saying you could do allmost anything you could think of class wise. Well the 2 biggest complaints were this. No Battle pets, and no deul weild
Well officially you can do both now. They are being hush hush about what kind of animal companions you can get but it is confirmed you can get them.

Can you tame them or is it more like a wow 'lock?

from what i heard its more like taming

That would be cool - more games need to realize this is a popular idea with players.

I hope these pets don't get hurt via friendly fire, like Oblivion's do (ones gotten via mods, or the skinned dog from Shivering Isles), and also come with a ressurection feature. I'd hate to see my precious lil' pet die and not come back.

I also hope there are some pets with a more "monstrous" appearance - I could never take something as lovable and realistic as that dog into battle.
