Quick dragonhawk model edit - feets!

I was just having a conversation about Dragonhawks and how I'd prefer them so much more if they had some sort of legs. (their perpetual floating bothers me so much)
I grabbed the hands and feet from the new chromatic dragonwhelp and stuck them on. I know there's people who like Dragonhawks as they are, no worries! This is just something I'd be much more excited about to tame if they seemed a bit more draconic and less like...flying shrimp. xD

That's actually quite neat

The chromatic whelpling's arms and legs fit well, though personally I can do without the arms.
The thing that always irked me was the way the wings are made up. I've always preferred the more bird-like features of the
model, or at least
concept art, of the WC3 dragonhawk.
Good work, I've got a few ideas to try to sketch out now ^_^

*nod* Yeah, I've always loved the concept of them, but the execution is lacking in my opinion. The concept art version was so awesome, and looked decidedly more dragon/hawk than what we ended up with.

Blue one without arms:

I think in the first one I threw together the appendages were too big (again, it was just a quick edit to see how they'd look). I'm thinking along the lines of the Fairie Dragons and Whelps in regard to arms and legs.

I think to me anyway they'd fit in with the design if they are thin and lean like the rest of the body is. I'm sure thats just a simple case of making the legs skinny? I'm talking out of my arse here XD

Oh for sure, if they actually had legs and/or arms I imagine they'd be much thinner, but the chromatic dragon whelp was the first thing that came to my head for something to use just to get a rough idea of the appearance.

Is that whelp with the other whelps in the model veiwer? If so I think I need to get a new version.

It's labelled as chromatic dragon pet, or something along those lines. If you just use the search bar to type 'chromatic' you'll find it.

Oh wow

Yeah, I definitely prefer without the arms as well. (Unless they had tiny, tiny arms like a protodrake?). I actually like them without limbs at all, I think of them as distant relatives of the windserpent, but I definitely like them with your leg design as well

Another alternative(that would be hard to do without redoing the model, so I guess I'll just draw it) would be hoatzin-esque clawed wings to substitute arms and fully developed legs. I can't say I can really see adult Dragonhawks scuttling along branches in Eversong, but it'd be a nice alternative to fully formed limbs.
