The wolves... they fear me!! (Welcome home Karoma!)

So as some of you have read, I've had amazing luck with rares on this hunter. My original plan was to have a stable full of common pets with a few select rares, but I have pretty much zero willpower, and truth be told there aren't a whole lot of common skins that I like as much as the rares.

The only rares I've chased after who have eluded me for days on end (or longer) were the wolves - Skoll and Karoma. I've been checking for Skoll every day since level 80, multiple times a day, at weird hours - early morning, mid-afternoon, the wee hours of the night... and no luck. He doesn't want to come home with a freakish half-wolf like me. :( Since dinging 85 I have been on a similar quest for Karoma (mostly giving up searching for Skoll at all, since I much prefer Karoma). I have searched at least 10-15 times per day, every possible time of day, looking for her... no luck. I found her counterpart Sambas with no trouble at all! But Karoma did not want to come home.

I woke up rather late today and came out to check for her - no luck. I did several more laps, afked a while, then checked again. Still nothing. I went to have a look for Skoll and he wasn't around either. Finally I hearthed to SW and headed towards the Hyjal portal so I can get my dailies done, but the Twilight Highlands portal still looked so very inviting... and so I gave in and decided to have another look. As I start nearing the first spawn point, NPCScan blares, and there she is!! Just pacing back and forth, looking awesome.

Karoma is home now :D And that officially finishes off the list of all the rares I really want. I can finally quest and BG in peace without that psychotic "MUST CHECK SPAWN POINTS" obsession! I love her haggard looks, and her mean almost skull-like face. The model is so outdated, but it is still one of my favorites for some reason. I think she'll go well with my hunter. Attached is a screenshot of them in the sewers together :)

I abandoned my first karoma, on a Stable Sweep, now I need a "ghost wolf" ._. And I clicked with a vanilla wolf, so I will probably click with a karoma

I like vanilla coyote-wolf models much more than the floofy worgs (though they're okay) and the emaciated northrend worgs. If you go looking for Karoma soon, I wish you luck in finding her swiftly! I need to do a stable sweep soon too... sadly, Gondria's gotta go. I've tried hard to click with her on two characters, and it's just not working out :(

Karoma is really neat looking. I've been a fan of that skin since I first saw the ghostly wolves in old school Shadowfang Keep.

I tamed and released Gondria, retamed then released again. I do really like her but just not enough to take up a stable slot over another pet. Plus I have Magria and think her model is much better, less transparent in most settings. I also have my favorite cat, a white sabertooth, Skarr, and Loque. That's four cats and is plenty. Plus I realized I was just keeping Gondria around because she matched one of my transmog sets and, for me, that's really not a good reason for a pet to take up stable space. So she's free roaming the snows of Zul'Drak again. Maybe I'll get her back again, who knows.
