Toon portrait - first attempt

Since I found out that some people pay real money to have their toons drawn I thought I would give it a try. This first one is of Wellngood my hubby's gob mage. Future ones will have a more original pose but I had to start somewhere. :p

Very nice!
But man... I need to not browse the forums when I'm this tired, I thought the hat was the face for a moments and I was all O_________o trying to figure out what race it was.... Sorry, I'll go back to bed now. xD

The art itself is very good, but I was thinking... how do you tell it's THIS Goblin mage? He may as well be one of the hundred other mages wearing that JP hat/its equivalent. Perhaps the player wanted it drawn like that, but to me it looks weird to draw specific character and not show anything specific about it.
