Camping - and not for a pet.

For months, maybe even creeping up on a year, I've had my baby druid parked in front of Geenia Sunshadow in Moonglade. I'd check before and after I logged on (when I remembered). But at last, I have found the object of my desire! The Formal Dangui!

I got it specifically for my warlock, and there she is modeling it. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone else wearing one on my server, but it might just be that I don't go in populated areas enough (I've never had a computer good enough for thick WoW crowds). Either way, it's a rare item, and I'm so happy to have it at last!

Congratulations!
And very interesting! I never knew this NPC existed, or how rare her items are. How awesome

@Jessibelle - Nope. It's a white item, so it doesn't bind at all.
@Wain - Her rarespawn items are really pretty neat. I got the Green Wedding Hanbok and the Red Traditional Hanbok before I saw the Formal Dangui. She's definitely worth checking! If you're not interested in keeping the Formal Dangui, you can probably sell it on some servers for up to or over 10k, even.

Okay, it's a little hard to explain, but I'll do my best. XD
Go into Nighthaven, through the inn-type building, past the moonwell (should be on your left), and you come to a building like the inn in Silithus again on your left. Go into that building. She's on the bottom floor, near the back, on the right. If you went up a hill where there's barely a path, you've gone too far. If you find a mailbox, it's the building to the north of the mailbox.
The cost depends on your reputation. I paid sixty-something gold and some change, but some people just pay fifty. It's pretty steep, but I was glad to have it. (:
Edit: Also, good luck finding some! They're pretty rare. Sometimes it takes two months between spawns on the vendor.

Congrats for finding that dress!

I've never seen her sell any of her rares. Granted, I've never camped her, but I've been checking for years whenever I'm in the area (which admitedly isn't very often

). And yeah, I also never see anyone wearing those dresses and I've never seen them on the AH either.
Here's some visual help for those looking for dear Geenia:

Ahh, the Formal Dangui. I used to look for that in Vanilla, forgot about it in BC, and then after that tried again randomly. I've never seriously camped for it, I'd just stop by and look every so often.

Reading the
wowhead comments for it really illustrates the rarity of it.
Grats on the find!

Congrats! I sent my DK out to "camp" for that as well (checking the vendor a few times a day) and got lucky and was able to buy it after only a week. Best thing about it is you can freely mail it between your toons since it doesn't bind, so my alts all get to try it on.

I honestly recommend anyone trying to find it do what I did - park an alt with about 100g or more in front of her and log in to the alt before and after you're done playing for the day. If you just sit there and click over and over, you get SO tired of it. So just keep an eye on her. You'll find it eventually! I'm honestly tempted to camp a second one just to see if I can. >.>

Seems on my server today, all she had was White Traditional Hanbok, Green Wedding Hanbok, and Royal Dangui.
How often does it change?

That's just it - you never know. The Green Wedding Hanbok is a rarespawn, though. You just have to keep checking to see when the rarespawns are up.

She sells those three ordinary dresses all the time. But occationally a "limited supply" dress will spawn. The possible spawns are:
Red Traditional Hanbok (the dress Geenia wears herself)
Green Wedding Hanbok
Formal Dangui
As far as I know, only one of them will spawn at a time (like the various Madexx colours) and it is said that the respawn can take up to two months, though it's random. There's a guy on Wowhead who says he got two Formal Dangui in a row (i.e. got the second immediately after the first). There's also the theory that the dress will despawn if it doesn't get bought in time, but I don't know if that's true.

Well, honestly, I prefer the Dark Green Wedding Hanbok to the Green Wedding Hanbok, though the Red Traditional Hanbok is nice. But I adore my Formal Dangui. I'm trying to decide if I want one for any of my Hordies or maybe my Worgen...

Oh yes. They can get some interesting enchants for a white item, so a lot of twinks really like them, and they're a unique dress for RPers.
