So no, it's not next week guys. :3

I thought we already knew this due to the blue post announcing the arena season ending on November 29th.

Apparently not. There were people all over MMO Champ and such, according to the article, saying it was gonna release next week. Go figure. XD

So does this mean our first new-and-improved DMF won't be until next year?

If the patch hits before the first week of December, no. But otherwise, yes. :/ Probably not something Blizz wants, I'd imagine.

I imagine that the patch will drop about the same time as SWTOR as it's common for gaming companies to do that with a new release.

Unless you're someone like me who doesn't keep up on Arena seasons...... A co-worker of mine who is obsessed with WoW (like...I almost worry about him, actually) was convinced the patch would be this week. Thus, I actually half-expected it to drop this Tuesday. It's my fault for not keeping up on news, I guess, but don't be so quick to /facepalm or laugh or sigh at or make fun of the IQ of people who thought it might be sooner, just because they aren't current on every drop of WoW-related news.

Yes, I took offense to all the picking on people who didn't know about the arena season, because I'm one of them. It's one thing to inform people, but quite another to start bashing them.

Okay, I'll just stop before I get carried away. I've had a rough day, a friend of mine just had something really bad happen to her today.

We just facepalm at people at mmochamp who spread false rumors. XD

It's actually common knowledge if you've been playing WoW for a while that just because they make a release build for the PTR doesn't mean the patch is dropping the next Tuesday.

I'm not trying to sound rude or anything...but Blizzard pretty much runs the same formula every major patch.

I have been playing WoW since Vanilla, but that doesn't mean I've picked up on any sort of pattern on patch releases because I don't pay attention to such things. Granted, I haven't been running around telling the world that it was for sure going to be next week, because to be quite honest, I only play the game casually and I don't cling to the edge of my seat waiting for the next patch, but still. Be nice to us ignorant folk!

And this is the difference between you and them.

Also, since these people are running around doing that, they (presumably) care a great deal whether the patch is next week or not....so they should be better-informed about the patterns.

It's a small difference, but it's a key one. The grumbling isn't directed at casuals; it's directed at the loudmouths who act like they know and don't.

What they said...XD It was directed at the derpfaces that think they know it all and do actually cling to their seats cause they wanna be the first to announce it and think they're awesome for getting it right....maybethey think they'll become e-famous that way. I dunno. XD

This post was NEVER meant to be insulting anyone, merely to inform people that the patch wouldn't be out next week as per common rumor. That having been said first post... I think this should be locked before it gets out of hand

No one else is getting huffy over it except one person though.

Actually, to step in? It doesn't matter who is 'getting huffy'. The tone of language on something is what matters. And the tone of this has gone downhill very fast. The very words 'getting huffy' are meant to indicate a negative response, and the entire tone of the thread is starting to lean in that direction.

I'm in agreement with locking the thread and going. The information has been given; there really is no more need to keep up a conversation that is starting to degenerate, no matter what the reason for degeneration or who may have started it. No need for personal finger-pointing anywhere, but the important one: the thread itself.

I never once stated who...so no fingers pointed. ;3
