Hello, Petopia community!

I need a name for my baby hunter's Ghost Saber. A little background: It took me exactly 9 (yes, as in 9 cat lives) of Cat Figurines before she spawned for me to tame. I prefer names that aren't silly or obvious, and have a real name meaning behind them (mythical, cultural, etc.) or are related to WoW lore. I know that's challenging, but I know some of you have really good resources/websites where you find these super fitting name meanings.

For example... I have the following names I found written down to think over, but I'm not sure how much I like them:

Penumbra (Latin for paene = almost, and umbra = shadow)
Kaibyo (Japanese for ghost cat)

Below are two pictures: 1 of a typical Ghost Saber found in Darkshore, and 1 of my ghost saber prowling. S/he looks extremely stealthy while prowling - almost unseen entirely! So maybe a name that appeals to that nature would be fitting.

Thoughts on names? Ideas? Suggestions? It would be much appreciated! <3

UPDATE: Due to little traffic on this post and only 2 name suggestions, it has come to my attention that maybe my asking for certain name types was too restrictive. So I am now open to any and all name suggestions for my Ghost Saber. The only thing I will say is I prefer serious names.

I have the following names written down for consideration:

Mist/Myst - very popular
Shade
Mirage
Boo - ghost reference, and the name of my first Ghost Sabre I tamed on my blood elf hunter
Phantom

Not sure how you're role-playing your saber, but if you think of her as the spirit of the lost city where you found her, then naming her Mathystra would be appropriate.

Nice! I like that idea. Naming her after the ruins where she was found would make a great lore name. I wish it rolled off the tongue better, but still. Thanks again for the awesome name suggestions, GormanGhaste!

That's true. I could! I'm leaning towards Myst or Phantom right now (unless more thoughts or names are posted!).

Decided to go with the name, Myst.

Changed my mind and re-named him, Phantom.

Changed my mind AGAIN and re-named her after the ruins where I tamed her, Mathystra.

I used hiddenfaith for mine.
