Whats with some topics being closed without a reason as to why it's being closed? Or even a warning or note? Wasn't that a big problem last time?
A fun place to chat about hunter pets in the World of Warcraft.

Thank you. That was indeed an oversight.AdamSavage wrote:This is the only one I could find..

I agree.Kalliope wrote:That entire thread was pretty pointless from the beginning, so it eventually getting locked isn't really a great mystery.
Definitely agreed.GormanGhaste wrote:I agree.Kalliope wrote:That entire thread was pretty pointless from the beginning, so it eventually getting locked isn't really a great mystery.
I do however sometimes see threads with productive conversations get shut down because of off topic remarks. My preference would be for the off-topic/rules-violating posts to be purged, rather than locking a good thread. But I realize that would be more work for the mods and probably more controversial. Still, I sometimes hesitate to report a bad post, if I think it will lock a thread that I don't want to be locked. Maybe that's a good thing.
well yeah but the point was usually mods ALWAYS say something whether its obvious to why or not in order to avoid past things from happening again. People like to see why it was closed rather than just making a new one about the same thing because the other didn't have a mod saying why the thread got closed.Kalliope wrote:That's another thread that was locked that made sense to be locked. The discussion was over and people kept necroing it for no reason except to stir up trouble.
Oh I didnt see anyone requesting the thread to be locked.Kalliope wrote:*shrug* The person requesting the thread lock posted why the thread should be locked. Having a mod post why seems redundant, but hey, not my job or call.
