I plan on taming the Marsh Crocolisk on my goblin today, which got me to thinking about tameable beasts that phase out after a certain point in the zone's quest chain. So I thought Petopia could, in addition to the current 'Elite' and 'Rare' tags, have a 'Phased' tag for appropriate mobs, with the option of adding a note stating which quest phases them out.

Probably a good idea for pets which require questing to phase in as well.

I agree, although that is less critical, as you can always go back and do quests. It's a little hard to go back and undo quests!

Yep. I just figure that if the tag exists, it might as well apply to both. Sometimes people don't read carefully and run to a zone at a particular level and can't find what they're looking for.

Sounds like a good idea for me as well!

A "Phased/Quest" tag would be good for pets like Gorebite since I know quite a few people who had no idea she was tameable only on that particular quest.

I would find this useful. For example, I wanted to tame Smolderos (red core hound in Hyjal). Apparently, he is phased in at some stage of the quest line, and then back out. /confused still.
