I've been trying to figure out a transmog set for my male Tauren hunter, but I'm just plain stuck.

Originally, I'd hoped to use Cairne's First Breastplate (both for appearance and sentimental reasons), but when I can't pick up the quest. I went back to Bloodhoof Village to see if perhaps I needed to start a chain to get to it, I didn't have any quests available. Heck, I don't remember doing the quest for it since Cata and if I did, I sure wouldn't have intentionally vendored the chestpiece. Anyway, I can't seem to get it or find another piece that uses the same model.

I also just cant' seem to find other pieces that look good together on a male Tauren. Has anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking something brownish and fairly simple looking.

Do you like any of the greens that drop in Northrend? As I remember, a lot of them are brown and some look like they have fur trimming/some kind of ivory tusks on them. I can't remember any of the sets by name, but I do remember they looked pretty rugged and would look nice on Tauren (at least in my opinion).

Tired to keep it to bits and pieces that shouldn't be too hard to get, but there were a few pieces that could be troublesome.
Firstly, the belt and wrist pieces drop from reg Trial of the Champions (The Black Knight and Confessor Paletress respectively). Soloing it could be tricky because of the jousting, although I've heard of people doing it.
The gloves could be a bit tricky too. It's a quest reward only model, you see. If you think you've already done the questline it comes from; check out either the Blackrock Shaman's Gloves or the Prankster's fingers for a similar look, hopefully one of those is available to you.
The Ahn'Kahar Legguards are simple enough to get, but they'll require that you spend a few justice points.

Didn't know if you wanted a helm or a cloak, so I chose to omit them for the moment.
Also, check out the Transmog Sets feature Wowhead has up for some other sets that might tickle your fancy.

Wow. You guys are amazing. Those're some good suggestions there.
