Cloth Buccaneer Style Sets

Here it is the night before the big patch where Transmogrification and a whole slew of other things goes live, and I'm still thinking of sets I want to build and obtain. This time, I decided to put together a couple of swashbuckler type sets. Currently, there's a low level swashbuckler style set called Buccaneer's Regalia that you can obtain, but I didn't particularly care for it. I mean the set is ok, I just thought it could be better. Anyways, here's the two I put together, enjoy :)

White Buccaneer's Set

Shown Gear:
Head: None
Shoulder: Buoyant Shoulderpads (Alliance) / Buoyant Shoulderpads (Horde)
Back: None
Chest: Buccaneer's Vest
Wrist: Buccaneer's Bracers
Hands: Light Blessed Mittens
Waist: Bloodthirsty Fireweave Belt
Legs: Darkweave Breeches
Feet: Relentless Gladiator's Treads of Alacrity
Weapon: Crystalfire Staff

As I stated above, I didn't care much for the true low level Buccaneer's Set that's in the game, so I decided to make one of my own. Overall, I think I did pretty well, and I like having the deep purple pants along with the purple skull themed boots. The gloves are kind of "meh", but it was the best I could find in my opinion.

Red Buccaneer's Set

Shown Gear:
Head: None
Shoulder: Mantle of Invocation (Alliance) / Mantle of Invocation (Horde)
Back: None
Chest: Corsair's Overshirt
Wrist: Any (None showed when using Mogit)
Hands: Soulcloth Gloves (Not shown in picture because of a glitch in WMV, but will barely show)
Waist: Ruthless Gladiator's Cord of Accuracy
Legs: Legwraps of the Master Conjurer
Feet: Sorcerer Slippers
Weapon: Bloodfire Greatstaff

This is the other buccaneer themed set I put together, this time with a red colored swashbucker type shirt from "Captain" Cookie in the Deadmines. I should point out that the Corsair's Overshirt has "poofier" sleeves at the wrist than what this picture shows, and is probably the main reason the Soulcloth Gloves showed up "mis-displayed" in it. Anyways, I think it turned out well.

Side Note: I know "staves" aren't exactly pirate weapons, but I chose to show a staff in my sets for several reasons. First, I tend to use a staff on my casters over any other weapon. Second, caster swords are usually a lot harder to come by. And third, I couldn't put together a Sword / Offhand or Dagger / Offhand combo that I liked for these sets. If you find some you like, by all means have fun with it :)

If you want a staff with a novelty oceanic theme there's always Medusoid Staff ;)

I'm working on the buccaneer look for my clothie as well. Was pretty unhappy that there's no cloth eyepatches, but I'm hoping that the Admiral's Hat will look good and transmog fine.

I got a buccaneers like set for my mage.... mine is a bit "tacky", though it was done like that on purpose cause I wanted my goblin to not only wear pants and a shirt (no more robes, thank god!) but wear something revealing and yes tacky!

This is her set: (( Link to Armory ))

Using:
Chest: Corsair's Overshirt
Legs: Shadoweave Pants
Gloves: Mystical Gloves
Belt: Magister's Belt
Shoulders: Runecloth Shoulders
Boots: Runecloth Boots
Helm: Not shown
Wrists: Not shown
Cloak: Not shown
Off-hand: Doesn't matter I guess...

Weapon (Sword): Blade of the Burning Sun (Matched surprisingly well :D)

This set works well for my goblin mage. As I said, I wanted something tacky and somewhat revealing since it reflects her personality.
