I GOT MY GEM KITTY!!
(Yes that is indeed my skeleton on that rock right there. Unfortunate accident thanks to me not using deterrence.)
This was one thing I did not expect to find today. I checked earlier and saw nothing so I dorked around on some alts all day. The the urge to go check hit me so I was all "why the hell not, it won't hurt to look". Either I missed him as I hopped up the rocks, I wasn't paying attention, or he spawned after I did, but I went over to his other spawn point facing towards all the lava pools and sat there for a minute before I (thankfully) turned a bit and saw a black mass lounging about by the crumbling rocks.
Freaked the hell out, ran over to him, fell 8C, and was cursing the entire time.
Rezzed, failed tame, died, ran back (with more cursing), looked up the strategy on WoWhead, and did it again without a hitch.
I will now happy dance for the rest of the night. <3

Congratulations! That's how I felt when I got my Skarr, too. It's an awesome feeling of triumph. What did you name your kitty?

I'm actually still trying to riddle out a name, I'm not sure exactly what I should call him/her.
I haven't even picked a gender yet. :x
Any suggestions would be great!

Decided to be cliche and name him Dante!
He is now and forever my gem baby. <3

Congratulations! I so want to tame him when I get to 85. I've had the worst luck with even trying though.
I'm glad you got him though! He's very handsome!
