Controversial but awesome catch

So while im playing on my horde char on a PvP server im chatting with some friends on the same server playing alliance. Well all of a sudden my buddy who is camping Loque says that some preist guy found loque for him, before I can say "Wow what a nice dude" he tells me that this guy wants 10k or he will kill it. So I tell him to tell this dude to wait, and tell him his buddy is coming to give him the money. So I fly my horde badass over and see this guy who is standing by my friend. Well im horde, the priest is alliance, and this is a pvp server. Squishy priest vrs big red devilsaur=dead guy. So after he is dead my buddy tames the loque and I take off. The guy has no clue what happened. He thinks he just got nailed by some random jerk lolz

A very similar story with me and my Arcturis camp. Had some guy using both his Alliance and Horde characters to harass me by killing me over and over, and logging on his alliance so he could tell me to pay him 20k or he's killing me and the pet when it spawns. Was horrible. >.<

Yes no controversy here - this is just a demonstration that not all ganking on PVP servers is bad or undeserved...

This thread really made me realise how selfish, greedy and downright horrible people can be on MMOs simply because we don't know them irl. Ganking someone or simply stacking them until a pet spawns and telling them to pay them 10k or something or else they'll kill it is downright harassment and shouldn't be tolerated. It's not the same, I know, but it's similar to say, someone abducting your child and telling you to pay them a large sum of money or else they die. It's not the same since WoW is just a game but this should still not be tolerated at all - if this happens we should be allowed to contact a GM about it and get their ass banned. And I know GMs couldn't give a shit about us sometimes - I've known many, many WoW players, including myself, who've gotten harassed to the point it's actually rather depressing and for GMs to do fuck all about it.
So no, this isn't controversial, it's a smart move to make. I'm sure your friend really appreciated it. (:
