1. how does it work .) ?

2. I assume that you find some gear, and wear the look of that gear... would the gear you find the look for disapear, or do u keep it? I have the dungeon set 2, and i would hate for it to go away since it is now unobtainable.

i have browseen to see if there was any match, and havent found any,. If i missed one, sorry for posting :)

You wear a piece of gear, talk to the transmog guy, drag the piece with the look you want on top of the correct slot, and hit accept (or whatever the button at the bottom says). You can do this for a single piece or all of them.

You keep the original gear. After all, you'll need to to transmog any new pieces you get. ;)

Transmogrification is not permanent; you can always undo it or put a new transmog over it.

the old dungeon sets like the Wildheart and Feralheart sets (those are the two ones i know best, i was so keen on acquiring feralheart but never did when they finally removed it) are sold at the Darkmoon Faire, they're replica sets so they dont have any use beyond wearing around to look cool (they have armor rating but nothing else when i looked at them at the vendors), you pay with tickets that you get for doing the dailies and quests, and with the faire only being open for one week each month, its a really big pain in the arse (but blizz wants it to drag on.. make you want to keep your sub running so you can get all these awesome little tidbits of awesomeness and they get money)
