I Can't seem to find anything about this in the forum so I'm gonna post it and if its already been posted then I'm blind.
Vashj'ir - Underwater Combat
We're working to ensure combat, breathing and travel are less cumbersome in this underwater zone than many of you may be thinking. The zone is quite large with a great deal of quest content and exploration to be done. In many areas you'll really get a deep ocean feel, but since you're questing down there, we want to make sure underwater gameplay is greatly improved.

I am dreading this part of the game. Anything underwater in WoW is a total disaster in terms of movement, they would have to totally overhaul the entire concept of underwater mechanics to make this zone bearable.
I have an incredibly hard time with the 3d spatial elements of WoW like underwater movement and flight movement (ie Oculus and Eye of Eternity). The thought of an entire zone like this, even if improved, is horrible.

Mm, yeah I'm with you there Anansi. I was never a fan of fighting underwater due to the awkward and sometimes misleading distances of moving in 3D.
Part of me is hoping that for Vashj'ir perhaps they'll make some sort of super gravity boots that would glue you to the sea floor, essentially making it no different than fighting on land, just with the water as the 'sky'. Wishful thinking though.

I know the feeling. I get this alot when I find a Mineral node in WG and It looks like your close enough to pick at it but you get the to far away warning. I have the audio warning disabled as I got sick of listing to my toon moan and groan for various different reasons.

I had a really hard time with the end of the Death Knight intro -- where you fight from the back of a skeletal dragon -- in the Wrath beta. I can't think very well in 3D and I can't move and shoot at the same time. The first time I tried it in beta it took me over two hours to complete that single quest.
So I let Blizzard know it, loudly (but politely!) through the feedback tool every time I started a new Death Knight in beta (which was often). And apparently they heard me, because now I can sort of limp through that quest -- and it doesn't take me two hours.
I expect that I will have to do the same thing a couple of times with underwater questing, but I expect that Blizzard will listen and make it playable ... eventually.
