Pre-existing Heirloom Transmogrification being stripped

I sent a multitude of heirlooms that were mogged into 85 items and such to my various low-level toons while the glitch to mail them properly was still operable. Today, I log on and find although they APPEARED TO BE WEARING THE SKINS of what I mogged on the login screen? They have been reverted to their original skins, and I cannot change them back. Did this happen to anyone else?

My axe is still the same on my pally. I mogged it to the DK axe you can get from the end of their starting area. I wonder if they would be targeting items that are mogged to look like level 85 things?

mine changed too, had lvl 80 pvp shoulders and horseman helm transmogged onto my lil warrior, and now they are gone.

Yes, it was an unintended glitch for people to be able to put, say, a level 85 appearance on an heirloom and send it to a low level alt. Blizzard has fixed it.

Oddly enough though my BOA axe still has it's transmog that I got from my DK. Could it be they are hitting armor only, or maybe specific levels of mog (like tier 13 for instance)?
