Title tells it all share what games you like that every one else does not. Games are like movies/songs in that way.

Me? Duke nukem forever. I love the Duke allways have and I enjoy this game. Every one else hates it tho to be fair most had WAY to big expectations for it and never did think about the history of it i mean any game that had that much trouble being made would be the same. The next one being made will be better by far as it's being made by a company who's not going bankrupt.
I like it Dukes still the same old womaniser we all love and that's all I really care about.

Hmm… Most of the games I really like that others might hate actually have sort of cult followings. The latest few Spyro games, for example. Not super high-quality in any way, but I just love Spyro. Animal Crossing is another. I adore that game. Other than that… I can't really think of much. >.>

A Belgian game called Outcast. Its an adventure/roleplaying game, more adventure than roleplaying, and has an amazing plot and characterization and the cities and towns are insanely well-developed. It got bad reviews, but I ADORED this game. I was so obsessed with it for awhile that it was all I would play. When I heard Outcast 2 was coming out only for the PS2, I immediately went out and got a PS2. Only to learn a few months later that the entire Outcast 2 project was canceled. I was devastated. I really wanted to return to that amazing adventure world. Each character even had their own voice, and there were TONS of characters to talk to. You had rep that you could raise or lower based on what you did when interacting with the civilians. Like, you COULD go on a murder rampage and kill an entire town, but everyone would hate you and it would pretty much be a non-standard game over.

Or you could go out of your way to do "side quests" to help them and they would love you and give you extra shit. The "murdering everyone" thing was only fun if you used cheat codes and could immediately raise your rep again after going on a killing spree so you wouldn't be unable to progress. Even if everyone hated you and you couldn't progress in the game, you could still wander around whatever area you were in and interact with people. They would just say bitchy things to you and refuse to give you any information at all. Sometimes this could be gotten around without cheat codes if you used a strategy guide that told you where the keys and such were.

Basically, AWESOME game with so many different paths you can take and so much different dialogue (ALL VOICED) depending on how you interact with people.

Minecraft. Most people I know hate the bloody game, and like Terarria, it's 2D cousin better. I like the game because it's something you can do with free time. I'm not addicted like other people. I've actually played MC well camping for something on WoW.

Thats funny it's the other way with my mates. I'm the only one who likes the 2D one

Hmm..possibly Alice: Madness Returns. It got 'meh' reviews but I actually really enjoy the game, though it has its fair share of glitches.

Yeah it does but I liked it.

Another one for me would likely be Drakan: Order of the Flame. The PC game of Drakan that came before its PS2 sequel and had a much better plot if you PAID ATTENTION. That was one of the major flaws. You had to actually pay attention in what was essentially a hack and slash game to get the story. There was plenty of blood and gore, but the best part was the storyline. Rynn trying to save Delon from Navaros via becoming the first dragon rider in centuries by befriending Arokh. There are naked Succubus, orcs, undead, and an evil many-headed dragon as the final boss. Its really a complicated game if you pay attention and not a simple hack and slash.

Summoner was also unloved. Its a PS2/PC game where you play a young man named Joseph who has the power of summoning demons and is part of a prophecy to defeat the emperor of Orenia (evil, vaguely Asian stereotypical country). The emperor made his own enemies and set himself up for death by actively seeking out and killing all of Joseph's friends/entire village, planting the Summoner's need for vengeance in his head and basically making the prophecy a self-fulfilling one. If Murod (the Emperor) had sat on his ass on his throne and done nothing, the entire game wouldn't have happened. There is also the Joseph-is-the-main-god reincarnated subplot that becomes a major plot after you defeat the emperor. Also, sub characters like Fleece the thief (who is actually Queen of Medeva and Empress of Orenia due to the King having an affair with the old Empress), and Rosalind (whose father is the main bad guy, but is actually possessed so she hates him until he gets un-possessed). Complicated awesome game.

not too much hate for minecraft
No idea who you talk to but its a pretty popular game, Terarria has 1/8th the players on it that minecraft does, and with how the game mechanics work they arent even compairable anymore

and i think its a bit silly for this topic, a lot of people like different things. i liked duke nukem forever but that was out of respect for duke 3D, seems they focused too much on adult content in this one rather than problem solving like its precurser,

I don't think this is a silly topic. It's just a topic to share what you like. If you don't want to add anything no ones forceing you to post in it. What you said about finding big fan bases for every game? that anit true for alot of games.

I really do like some of the plots in the questlines also

Final Fantasy games got extremely moronic after FFX. Even FFX2 was awful. I only played it because Final Fantasy games have superb music, especially the FFX games. I have all the original soundtracks for each FF game. They're wonderful.

Funny you bring this up, because you wouldn't believe the WoW-bashing that goes on in SWTOR, at least on my server anyway. They call anyone who plays WoW a nerd (pot, meet kettle), and get all up in arms if you try to make a comparison. What's funny is that you KNOW darn well that these very people that try to act cool and like they hate it, probably played it religiously for years and defended it against people who claimed that Aion or Rift were going to be the "WoW-killers". Gimme a break, people.

Really? but Starwars is even more nerdyer than Warcraft! I should know XD Really that's like Trekkies saying LOTRs fans are nerds.

I honestly LOVED Aion for the first 30ish levels. After that, it became insanely grindy to the point of wanting to gouge my eyes out. I loved my mage character in Aion and probably would have stopped playing WoW for it if Aion had, you know, tried harder to not suck after getting the plotgasms out in the first 20 levels.

Another one, is a game called Feral-Heart. It's a fun RPing game, where you can be a canine, or a feline. There are Warrior RPs, Wolf pack RPs, Lion Pride RPs, other creature RPs, and the RP I am featured in as Vivalina the abandoned husky, Post- Apocalyptic RPs ^_^

Funny Its not mmo-hipster to play WOW anymore, thats why. Most mmo-hipsters are probably playing SWTOR right now so they can claim they played it before it got cool later on, and run around in 4 years with that Founder title. Granted they will leave SWTOR in a couple months once it picks up more, but they'll releash in coming back a few years later and then proclaim they're cooler than everyone else. Probably hate on WOW some more then too.

While that is true what peeves me off to NO end is the people in SW:TOR who say this "Yeah this games pretty ok an all but wow really you have to pay to learn speeder riding thats LAME! Oh wow seriously, this game doesn't compare to WoW at all! It steals everything from WoW and WoW is the foundation mommy mmo of ALL OTHER MMO'S EVER!! Everything steals from WoW, omg this quest is kind of hard? Lame they need to nerf it like they did WoW thats why its so much fun. This game will die to WoW very soon I see that coming this is stupid." etc etc.. and then you ask "Well if its stupid why are you on it right now? Why dont you go play Wow again?" and then you get this response "....*cricket cricket*..." Makes me SO mad.. Its ridiculous.
