The subscription mount

Is it just me or does anybody else think the mount for signing up for a year is hideous? I mean it's another mount towards the achievement, and I was going to play anyway but....it's just so damned UGLY! I thought we would be getting a Pegasus look....what is up with the wisps of whatever the hell they're supposed to be? If anybody finds beauty in these mounts please, please, PLEASE explain it to me. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

I'm not a huge fan of Tyrael's Charger, but it doesn't really bother me. For me the mount was just a free bonus, I was going to be paying for that year anyways, the beta access, Diablo III, and mount were just neat extra perks.

I don't really like flying horse mounts that use the hippogryph skeleton, and Tyrael's Charger looks especially short and stocky. The colours are nice. It's not that bad, I don't mind having it, but overall I'm just kinda neutral since it was free anyways.

well, I have no interest whatsoever in D3, and am not really sure I want to clog up my computer with the beta client, so I did it only for the mount.

I think it's really nice-looking.

The charger is meant to be a mount version of Tyrael from Diablo; I personally think it looks kind of neat, even if it's on the hippogryph skeleton and looks goofy. Had I still been interested in WoW, I probably would have signed up for the year thing to get it.

Also, your sig is a tad too tall, the limits here are 800x300. :)

I think it's cool I mean it's a cool mount for a cool dude.

Well, the legs appear short because the barding makes its shoulders look lower than they actually are... which does make for a somewhat goofy looking run.

But it's still kind of neat looking, and it's nice to have for your lvl 20 toons.

And if you think about it, you're not paying anything to get it if you were planning on going for another year anyway, so... :)

Very true. :)

I love it in concept. I don't like to be critical, someone put love and talent into its art, but I find the wings to be a bit too pallid when placed in the game environment, which is normally full of saturated colours. I think the contrast makes them look somewhat sickly or (un)dead and less vivid.

But like others have also said, I would have subscribed anyway. It's just a bonus. :)

I find the wispy wings block vision a LOT, and I don't like how dumpy and thick-bodied it is -- probably because of it being based on the hippogryph skeleton like people said. I'm guessing that the skeleton is the hard & time-consuming part to do, with all the movements etc.?

On the other hand, free mount available across all my characters. It's far from my favorite, but it's not like I'm not playing WoW for another year anyway.

I love the mount! I think the colours are beautiful, and I absolutely adore its short, stocky looking body. Sure, it doesn't much look like a horse, but I'm just pleased I can have a pony of sorts. I think I'd love it even if it was just a ground mount, and without the wing thingies.

I like it, and I love the armor...I just wish the armor didn't make the horse look so fat. Its the stocky aspect that makes it look silly to me.

Lets think of it this way...
It's a space pony
from space
It comes from the Land of Wispwings and Stubbylegs.
It's an alien. An alien pony.
When I think of it like this, it goes from hideous to awesome

I only wish some of my female toons could have totally awesome wispy capes or long flowing sleeves to match...

the wings bug the hell out of me, mostly because they continue to animate as if in flight even when grounded. i hate that. and their speed doesn't feel right compared to the rest of its animations

o.O

Poor ghost pegasus... being called a space pony... from... the Land of Wispwings and ... Stubbylegs.

There goes your last shred of dignity*

It's a very cold, cruel world......

*All because some developer was hitting the bong when he designed the barding...

Yes, I agree. I'd be happy if the wings just stayed in the lowered position when the mount is standing still.

The only thing that bothers me about the mount is its wings and how they look like they bend backward...or are they supposed to look like they're moving really super fast??

I don't love the mount myself, mostly for the fact that the wings keep on flapping while it's on the ground. However, it *does* look really nice with my drae priest. Plus it lets me avoid getting an Elekk! Woo!

Anything to avoid riding an Elekk. I bought the elekks for my new draenei resto shaman but I haven't ridden them. Not even once. Just to collect. I ride my spacepony otherwise.

But fortunately I just rang up exalted with Darnassus so I can get riding kitties!
