I wouldn't be able to get it if my friends never helped me on this! Thank you guys! Four Al'ar mounts in in my wow career and 4th times the charm of actually winning it!

Well if my hand went right threw him I wouldn't be able to ride him. His fire isn't hot unless he wants to kill ya. C;

Congratulations
I think it would feel silky to stroke but obviously not slippery. Imagine riding a silk coated mount which is just as slippery... you'd be dangling underneath trying to hold on!

Well i wowwikied phoenixes and they seem like normal bird with feathers...just on fire >>
so its safe to say im riding something solid

I dunno, I like the idea of it being silky. It's probably because of the smooth trails he leaves behind when he flies.
