At least in wowhead I noticed there appear to be both a blue and purple version of these - same ticket cost, and at least for the ones I've checked, same appearance.

Can anyone tell me why they have both versions and does it matter which you get?

in old days, you could upgrade your dungeon set 1 by a serie of quest to dungeon set 2, and the sets looked alike, but had different colors, and the dungeon set 2 had better stats then dungeon set 1.


But the replica gear doenst have stats so i dont think it matter which you get, its all a preference to color

I probably could have been clearer - when I said "blue" and "purple", I meant item quality - as far as I can see the actual items themselves are the exact same color...

And when there are no stats, item quality shouldn't matter... so, why have a "rare" and an "epic" both available for same ticket cost, whose models look the same? O.o

I'm fairly certain there is only one type at the Darkmoon Vendors, not two different qualities. Perhaps wowhead just has some leftover extra info, I'm not sure, but whichever set you want, just buy it from the faire and it's transmoggable, so it shouldn't matter.
