Ashes of Al'ar on 3rd solo

After managing to solo it I decided to start farming for it, and on third solo the mount drops. Know I have two hunters with a rare mount from the raids.

Damn... Is it just me or does this bird seem to be showing up a lot more recently? I mean, everyone who can solo/two-man it seems to be getting it very quickly...
Nevertheless, congratulations! I can't wait to get that amazing bird for myself one day. (:

Wow, congrats! How difficult is it to solo the fight as a hunter? If there's already been tips or a guide posted somewhere I'm unaware of them. I'm curious about the mind control phase.

I'll make a video guide about it and post it on youtube when I can. Its really about positioning and keeping the adds on the pet, just make sure to have the legendary staff equipped so you'll have buff that will make you immune to everything but fear and MC.

I feel pretty confident in my soloing abilities as long as I know the strategy. I definitely would like to try farming for the mount if it's doable.

I've been 2 manning it with a friend and even with 2 people it's actually pretty fun to play with mechanics.

Ok I have been trying this fight the whole night but phase 4 and 5 just keep seriously bugging out.
from pet going high wire near the statue and porting around to not attacking or responding at all.
I managed to get to phase 5 twice and I keep dying there because I dont get the float buff after he trows me in the air so I drop to the floor with loads of damage and if i do manage to survive i then get the float buff >_>
not to mention my pet seems to get so much damage i can even get him up with both cower and shield :S
does this sound familiar to people ?

The Eye and MGT are both bugged with the flying parts. Keal just pops you in the air and sometimes you take fall damage and sometimes you don't. Also it helps what spce your turtle/beetle is in.

Major congratz for the severe luck!!!
Now I know it can be solo'd I think I'll need to have a go. Takes away douchebags who'll ninja it away! *shakesfist* Luckily that's not happened with Ashes but it did with Thori'dal.
