I have just gotten my paladin returned again and I have renamed her Serenitii. I want to RP with her and what I've noticed she is acting alot like Lightning from FFXIII/FFXIII-2. The personality of Lightning is one that the creator of the site "Roses Have Thorns, Lightning of Final Fantasy XIII" says "In terms of her basic personality, she is quite serious, resolute, and introspective. She's very goal-oriented, implying that her philosophy in life is to concentrate on what's most important to her at the time, shutting out everything else. When she lets her guard down, we actually see that she often reflects upon her past and current life quite often. She displays a definite vulnerability, but does not let her insecurities and fears distract from her focus."
I do want to try and make a transmog of something close to her FFXIII-2 outfit. I have given her the full name of Serenitii Farron. Here is the picture of Lightning from the sequel. Serenitii is a retribution paladin so she won't have a shield but something two handed that would work with this image.



I for some reason feel VERY excited to play Serenitii and can not wait to get her to 85! So, what do you think? Isn't Lightning awesome looking! Fangirl moment! I know!

Hmm, here's what I thought of as soon as I saw that reference pic:

Chest - Hydralick Armor
Legs - Elemental Rockridge Leggings
Shoulders - Wyrmslayer Spaulders

Not sure about the boots and gloves, I might have to think a little more.

Edit: Okay, I poked around in WMV a bit and found some other pieces you might like. I know this isn't exact, but hopefully it at least gives you a place to start.

Belt - Tenacious Defender
Boots - Ironsole Clompers
Gloves - Overlord's Gauntlets (several other versions of this exist)

Edit again: Hmm.....actually the shoulders might need some more work, but I will have to look for you tomorrow.

paladin t13 shoulders have wings.

Are there any feather cloaks in game? You'll have to eventually get her the white hawkstrider mount.

You can also look at pictures from Final Fantasy XIII of Lightning, she has no shield then, and her sword is more of a two hander there. That'd be a picture to go for ideas as well.

I'd say go with the Saltstone set
Granted it's not an exact look, but your character is an original one in it's own. Saltstone is a little more grey, but had the same feel when I looked at it.



I'd suggest maybe a black, or grey shirt under the armor to get closer to the look you are going for

*drools* Final Fantasy, all my cosplay budgets are belong to you indefinitely. Wicked outfit choice!

Ah yeah, I didn't even think of a shirt. I have always liked the saltstone set, and other pieces that resemble it. The jade plate set is also one of my favorites (which seems a given since jade is my favorite stone).

and it looks like the radiant glory thing is a set, so maybe that was something for you

I've found some pieces that look like they might work a little better now:

Shoulder - Razorsteel Shoulders
Shirt - Footpad's Shirt
Chest - Thick Obsidian Breastplate (not sure how hard this would be to acquire)
Belt - Tenacious Defender
Legs - Elemental Rockridge Leggings
Boots - Grim Sabatons (nice find, Wassa!)
Gloves - Overlord's Gauntlets (or other similar models)
Cape - Gossamer Cape (or other similar models)

Wow, that is pretty close to the look ! nicely put together.

There's also the Cloudkeeper Legplates, which have always been a favorite of mine but are probably pretty hard to obtain. Your suggestions would definitely be much easier.
