Just cleaned out my stables

While questning on Kahlua, i used ever single pet in my stable, and i liked the pets, and bonded with every single one of them.
With tårnfalk.. not so much.. so i have cleared out my stables of pets i only have for raid/grp buffs, and keept the few pets which accually means something to me.
which lefts tårnfalks stables quite emtpy.. I need to reconnect with several pets which i have now.. I keept Krush and the golden worm, incase i one day would go bm on tårn too..
Sadly this means that both my warpies have gone to a holiday now - i will go tame the purple one again, from the start, and try to reconnect with it.. It just did´t feel rigth to dust Vephriel off after so many months in hiding.. and it may gain a new name as well

feelt a bit wird going questing with a petopia forum member imo
Pets which i am still unsure about are my seagul skyrim, which i kinda only have because its small and annoying, and Kronos - old clif jumper.. i like his look with one of my transmorg items, but my heart kinda beat for the regular model

. For now both of them have a spot in my stables because i have room now.
i think the main reson why i have a hard time with pets on Tårn, is that Tårn is a raidhunter, and i accually care on how she is placed on dps charts, where Kahlua just plays what I think is fun.. I will start to do the same with Tårn, to see which pets i end up with.
Have you guyes ever cleaned out your stables, almost entirely and started from scratch?

Hmm. I don't think I've ever completely tidied up my stable and started from a scratch... but I do tidy them up a bit every now and then. Sometimes I release pets that I just never use and haven't bonded with or if I have too many from the same pet family. (Like right now when I have four "cats" and some of them are just shiny rares that I never use but am too paranoid of releasing... Stalemate! Dx )
That black wolf is a very sleek model + texture though. Now you're making me want to tame it!

Maybe for by baby worgen... hmm!

I've learned that even though I have 25 stable slots, I don't need to use all of them. I've 12/25 spaces on Arit, and I'm just fine with that. The pets that I do have are the ones that I've bonded with, because of personality (my crab Oralia), history (Mina or Whippy), or I've been drooling after them for so long (Loque, for instance). I've even tamed a few that I've taken in because no one wanted them, like Deth'tilac for instance.
I went on a taming spree when the 25 spaces hit, and I didn't feel right having 21 or 22 separate pets vying for my attention on my main, so I slowly let them go and I've found a happy balance. Besides, we don't know what might be in store for MoP quite yet when it comes to pets (other than a Jade coloured
Gem Kitty and a
Fluffeh Kitteh), so there's always room for growth and expansion in my stables, which I think is a good thing. It leaves room for new additions and new bonding experiences with my pets in-game.
Starting from scratch can be a very good thing, don't ever feel like you've gone against a code. Think of it as a redecorating of sorts.

I usually give myself a fresh start every expansion. I also will make minor changes to my stable all the time.

I've no spots left on Galaxy... and I bonded with ALL of them!! QQ!!!!
so I rolled a new hunter. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Seriously, though, I DO think that they gave us sufficient pet space. Maybe I'm slightly OCD, but I love every one of the pets Galaxy has collected and can't part with them easily. Sad times.

KUDOS to you are your steely gut on being able to do it!

I've tamed all the spirit beasts, so that takes 9/25 right there. Every slot is being used, but the problem is.. Some of the tames are too annoying to want to do again (deth'tilac) or have appearance buffs (armored battleboar, oil stained wolf) or ones I don't feel like camping/checking on constantly, in case I wanted them again.

same here I only have one hunter and its also he hunter I raid on>_>
and my stable is pretty much full (i have some copies of pets types i am quite aware of that)
but I cant let them go
take deth, solix and kirix for example there all 3 spiders but I just had so much fun getting them

got anthi too but I just took pity on the guy.
I have around 3-4 spiritbeast as well
some oldies (talstrider,,my old 2 header bird Trachela, ghost saber, grimtotem pet)
I still have poor worg in my stable (reminder of my worgen pet

)
jadefang
chrommy
huhuran
just to name a few.
I sparsely drop some pets ones a while (dropped gondria couple of days back)
and I know I can drop some of the spiders or even some of the spirit beast

but I am just a sucker for pretty skins

Yeah, I used to have all the spirit beasts also... but they kept taking up too much space and I really tend to use only Loque or Skoll. Sometimes I pull out Karoma, Ankha or Ban'thalos but the rest of them just kind of sat there gathering dust so I picked up my courage and said goodbye to some of my spirit beasts. I really want to have a lot of different families in my stable and with all those spirit beasts, it just wasn't possible. Some of them felt more like "trophies" or shiny doodads rather than valued companions or loved pets.
(Although I can totally understand if some people like the whole 'collection' aspect and it's fine. Everyone can play the game the way they want to, but it just isn't for me.
I like to be emotionally invested in my pets as much as possible!)
I dread the same thing which you mentioned where I might start longing after some of the released pets but I decided to worry about it when and if it happens. It'll be a challenge to find them again.. and I take it as such!

I'm just OCD...

all spirit beasts. check. That's the only collection I kept in tact. But, then again, I do regularly change out my active pets so all my pets see game time

I DO, however, have the mains, Bliss and Nykwil (purple chimera), but now and again they need some rest

I actually tamed Kirix (died about four times haha) and then release him, felt nothing. Tamed Deth and kept but I still am kinda eh. But my hunter only has like 12-15 slots used so its not an issue for me yet.
I actually tamed loque because I couldn't find anyone that wanted him/her and ...I am tempted to release. the model is just blagh to me personally. XD (loove the skin, dislike the model)
TBQH I find myself using my Krush more than anything, and he was just a tame on a whim!
