Anyone know a good way to get lovely charms? I am having really poor luck with them. I've only gotten 6 so far no matter what I kill.

Yesterday I didnt get any in 4 hours, then I grouped with some guildies and I finally started getting some. Got I believe 40ish charms in 30mins.

I found grinding the Fractured Front in Deepholm an excellent spot. It's just kinda north of Stonehearth on the far west side. There's a bunch of stone troggs fighting the earthen so they spawn quickly and most have lowered health. I just ran around multi-shotting them and I accumulated charms quite quickly.

THe Slags section of Halls of Lightning is amazing..the respawning elementals. Just past the first boss. it can be done on Reg or heroic and you can stealth past the boss if you are careful

A couple of good places:
- The dueling Vrykul in Icecrown, just west of the Ebon Blade place--crazy awesome respawn and easy for a hunter.
- Slag pit in HoL, as Jelani suggested
- Throne of the Tides reg, after the second boss you open up that hallway with the little corrupted elementals--crazy respawn, but I did it on a prot pally, dunno how a hunter would do (esp. without cleanse)
- The pats of lost (?) heroes in Icecrown, the ones that roam in packs on 10-12
- I've heard good things about several places in Deepholm too

Dude, this is THE BEST PLACE. The mobs respawn fast, they're all in one small area, so you don't have to run anywhere, and they can be one-shot. I keep a spirit beast or two with me and their debuff isn't a huge problem.
But yeah. my boyfriend and another friend of mine got their mounts in 3 hours by consitently farming these guys. It's crazy awesome.

the throne of tides

I was doing HoL, but wound up in Tides getting 700/hour
GL!!!!!! <3
Edit: Oh snap! If you have a Darkmoon Faire guide, bank it as it will slow down your charm collecting! I saw a blue post somewhere.... >.> they haven't fixed it, yet

For the charms and Darkmoon trophies, I grind up in Northrend. Those Converted Heroes in the NW central part of the zone are green to you at 85, have low health, and respawn quickly.
I can usually get all the trophies for the faire in 15-20 minutes there. Last night there were 2 other people around, and I spent a half hour up there before having to head off to raid. In that time I'd only gotten 175 trophies, but I'd gotten holiday 88 charms.

The Riders of Malykriss in Icecrown are AMAZING for tokens! I wound up getting about 500-700 per hour and had my bird on the first day (:

If you have the gear, I'd recommend Throne of the Tide's gauntlet, too!
Farmed my own lovebird and it took just under three hours in total.

I've used this spot to get mine. Constant respawn, and nothing to pick up.

there is a catheral in icecrown where the mobs spawn all the time.. and i mean ALL the time... they are elite, but i could farm them without to much hassle.. and got enough for 8 days of delivering bracelets to 4 kings in 2 hours
the cathedral is close to lichking entrance, in the lower left of your corner, jsut go up the stars of that building and ur set. i had it all to my self

This THIS! It's the best and on my realm I have very little competition to use it (so shoo! :p) just send your best tanking pet in, misdirect, beastial Wrath and spam that mutil shot! I also throw in an explosive trap when I do my first heal pet. Ofc it's easier with a friend. I went in the first time with a guildie and it was very quick work. It was amusing as a member of the opposite faction showed up... flagged for PvP! They weren't getting our charms.
I also find that doing Argent Tournament dailies is helpful. I do my dailies and when it comes to killing the Cult of the Damned members I sweep form one side to the other and kill them all, then when I do the dailies on Hrothgar's Landing I again, start at the opposite side I need to get to and clean sweep the area. Lots of Charms and I'm getting my dailies done too!
I've already seen Love Birds on AH and people riding them so I'm not the fastest gatherer of charms but I've collected 205 of them so hopefully getting my Love Bird tonight if I can stand grinding that long or tomorrow if I get really fed up. :p

Since the Converted Heroes were being farmed by multiple people, I went up to Malykriss to check those guys out. Holy granola, am I glad I did. The Skeletal Runesmiths and their Vrykul buddies die fast and respawn almost too quickly. On my hunter, it was just run up and down multishotting and loot the silver off them. I went back on my rogue and it was just a matter of running up the bench/table things with spam of knives to gather a ton up and then wipe them out.

I do the Risen Soldiers and so on in Icecrown--not the Converted dudes, but rather over by the Fleshwerks (where the undead hawks are).
They CONSTANTLY respawn, and are easily 1-shottable (10k hp). You can grind hundreds in an hour this way; supposedly it's somewhat less than the Throne of the Tides route, but you can start grinding without having to run part of the dungeon first, which is very nice for say in between BGs.
