So im guessing since there are so many new models of Yak that they might be tameable. Hell they might be even the Panda Hunters starter pet. Comments?

Hrm, I'm not sure. Most of the mount type animals (Mammoths, Talbuks, Camels, etc) have never been tameable, so I find myself not leaning towards it.

but the thing is built like a Rhino and they are. Plus every big expansion they add new animals to be tamed. SO if not Yaks then what?

Panda hunters will start with hydras.
Or cranes. Most likely cranes. :U
IMO if Yaks DO become tameable, I don't really see them as a starter...

We have rhino's yes but yet we dont have clefthooves or kodo's :/ i'd think those would be made tameable before a yak is... and most probably the new tiger model will be tameable, posibly cranes but not sure, judging by the number of colors i think that they'll most likley be. Possibly the jade tigers, the foxes which are using their cata model are probable candidates. I see the pandaren homeland as being more farm orientated so i cant imagine we'd have a huuuge variety of beasts since much wilderness has been turned into farmlands and temples. But we'll see this coming month (i think anyways, its supposed to be march right?) ^^

Personally I think they will just be mounts. I'm betting Turtle as starter pet they are after all starting on a giant turtle!

I dont think they'll be starters either. We dont really have tameable mount types usually. Very seldomly do we ever.

It has already been stated that the starter pet is a turtle.
I would love to be able to tame a yak, personally. I love the large animals and it'd just be fun to have one fighting by my side, but really, I'm just so happy we get them as mounts!

That too. Plus Yaks most likely would be exotic since it's such a large animal.

I wonder if there are even yak models without the saddle. I don't remember any but perhaps there were some in the trailers.

The only new turtle I've seen is the size of an island. If you tamed that your only problem would be tagging every mob before it crushed the entire zone to death.

Highly unlikely that they'd get a unique one.

So far all starter pets are models that can easily be gotten by other hunters elsewhere. I don't think they'd make a starter pet no one else can have.

They might introduce a new turtle model that's the Pandaren starting pet and is otherwise only available in the 85-90 zones.

I remember a screenie from Blizzcon I think. It wasnt unique.

ah, but blizzcon is pre-tweaking stuff. So even if they had a common model, it could have been a placeholder. Hey, we can always hope...Actually I'd love to see a tortoise turtle model or something different from the cont. reused model/shell.
As for the yaks, isnt there a thread about them confirmed as mounts? (or someones slip-up on a tweet about the image looking close to the mounts design).
