So Scrolls of Lore, which appears to be a Blizzard image gallery site (?), visited Blizzard this week and took some pictures of various Cataclysm concept art. The art is gorgeous, but more to the point there are some potential beasts in there as well.

oo oo oo the turtle looks like it could be a Dragon Turtle- lets hope they're tameable and not naga exclusive!


Unfortunately though, the Shale Spider looks like it's pretty much an Elemental before a beast, which is tbh a change from the same ol same ol for elemental skins.

I love the "deep sea murloc" concept pic. I wish we could tame them...

Spider looks too rocky... I'd call it elemental. Of course there are lava spiders that are tamable...

The turtle lizard might be a mount there's a picture of one with a saddle. But we've had mounts as pets before it seems kinda cute. I hope those birds are tamable I wonder how big they will be since birds are small and lizards are huge. But even with all this news I'm still the most excited about the humble fox.

Scrolls of Lore had their gallery shut down (most likely due to the massive influx of visitors after WoW.com posted it).

Holy crap, if that's Deathwing's humanoid form, I think that's the first honestly-scary enemy I'll have ever seen in this game. His bottom jaw...wow. That's awesome!

Deathwing looks badass. I'm adoring the deep sea murloc too. ^_^ Oh! And the shale spider.

Hopefully the other images come back online, the rest sound neat!

Yes! I forgot to mention the deep-sea murloc. It's horribly adorable. Collector's Edition mini-pet, anyone? I'd be all over one of those murlocs.

HAHA deathwings jaw just reminds me of warhammer orcs XD. Would be so lol if he talked like one.

The three earth elemental pics (spider, worker caste, warrior caste) all looked very cool. I expect we'll be seeing a lot more variety in elementals than the basic earth/fire/air/water models we've had since vanilla.

Argh, I want to see all the other pictures! T-T
Though, I have to agree, the Raptoryx and Shale Spider look amazing. I would get me an SS in an instant! And maybe the Raptoryx is going to be the flying creature that people reported seeing in the Goblin starting area?

umm... is it just me (and might show my age here) but the human form of Deathwing kinda remind you of that villan in the masters of the universe cartoon.... I think his name was Trap-jaw, or something.
