For me, definitely the all-black
The kind of shades of bluish-grey and creamy whites in the second doesn't seem to blend all that well for me.

Why not use the all-black set and the staff from the other set if you like it? The first does have some white and the staff brings that out... unless you can't stand the blue on it with the black set
And just so you know, I don't think you can transmog the staff unless you had a high PVP rank in vanilla... =/

all black set definitely for me, and Hes is correct, i read somewhere here that you had to have acheived a title to be able to transmog gear, the higher your rank, the more options you had (i never got very high in my days nor do i remember what rank you needed to purchase each type of armor but it might follow that old system)

What would you use for an all black polearm, specifically one that doesn't show the green of the Agility chant?

Blackened Spear has a black glow that hides enchants.

I have a suggestion for black pants, the bloodmail legguards from scholo, and if you plan on wearing a tabard, the pvp version of hunter t4 is mostly black, or dark enough to be black, and the tabard covers the bit of green that does show, plus, it's a piece, at least on my gobby, that goes up to the neck, and if you get one of the martial shirts, the sleeves on them are the blackest you can find anywhere. Click Nug's name in the sig to get a good idea of my black set. There are better shoulders I could get for it, but require more effort than I want to go for farming them, and the raid finder tier shoulders are a pretty good fit.
