Also look at how the guard's cloak is swaying to their movements. Even tho they have a lot more movement in their skeletons, that particular sway is distinct to male taurens. Or at least their idle position, but most likley their walking position as well. So they might be a rehash of the taurens skeleton but they were saved as a new file so they could have the extra movements added on without touching the taurens file

I remember how at Blizzcon they said they made things like cloaks move a lot more... I don't remember how they worded it and I also do not remember which section it was in... but they even had a preview. It could just be a part of that but who knows!

possibly, i know taurens due to the swaying tail have long cloaks sway more then any other races. Draenei, being the only other race with tails doesnt wiggle theirs unless your dancing or a female /rudeing XD

Oh wow, looks like we'll have a new NPC race, a Yak-like cousin of the Tauren is seems, like the Taunka were in WotLK.

Yeah I saw them and got so happy! I like how taurens have sub-species! I wonder if they will be a good race or a bad one or if that village is just bad? The glowy orange eyes kinda make them look bad :S

Dang, I'd love to have that YakTauren model available to play. I fear, though, that they'll be like the Taunka and only be NPC's.

It's could just be the coat color and angle, but it does look like that fellow has a bit more abdominal definition than Tauren do. Other than that, he does seem kind of be just a male Tauren with a new head and some long hair tacked on.

Considering that one can see the standard male Tauren undergarment in the pic, it almost looks as if that's not a belt so much as some kind of fundoshi-like leggings.

EDIT: If those do end up being a playable character model, I've already decided to roll one and name him Tori....

I love their facial structure and the muscle definition on the snout. They have fantastic fierce expressions.

It definitely bodes well for an eventual Tauren revamp, along with other player models. I still can't decide if Blizzard has time to revamp all of the player models before the MoP release or if it will come much later, but either way we know they can use the original base skeletons and come up with something as awesome as this.

The Taunka were literally just the original Tauren models slapped with a mask, these guys are a completely reworked model.

I'd still like to see a female Taunka model that was not just a female cow one.

I was rather disappointed by that, myself. I imagine it's tough to make faces for animal-looking races like Tauren and Worgen look feminine without them either looking too human or ending up like what female Worgen currently have.

When I first saw the Taunka, I really hoped players would get an option to have the painting/tattoos that some of the male ones have.

Yeah, Blizzard has a habit of ignoring the female members of certain races (Taunka, Tuskarr, Furbolgs, Satyrs, Kobolds, Ogres, Gnolls, Broken, etc, etc). I hope this won't be the case for these new Yak people.
