I'd taken my first shot at this set back in December; as Bofors' pets have had a fiery / volcanic theme for a while, I'd decided to try for something like that in a mog set. What I ended up with was basically the earthfury recolor, minus the kilt. But I wasn't really 100% pleased with it, and eventually I came back to have another go.

After a lot of tinkering on wowhead, this is what I came up with - my first choice I think had more visceral appeal, but A) the boots really didn't tie in well, and B) in any case, I'd already done the quests for that chest & leggings.

The new goggles were relatively easy to fabricate from leftover mats and a few bits on the AH, and the cloak was a cheap vendor item that happened to tie in well. While this set may not have quite the same BANG to it that my first pick did, I do like the way that the muted gold and blue of the new chest and leggings tie into that of the gloves and boots, resulting in a more sophisticated blend imo.

EDIT (v3): current look, with new beard & belt. I felt the previous beard style obscured too much of the chest, and I also wanted a belt with stronger lines that would anchor his center better, so I used the Protector Waistband;

That's a nice gun, but I'll keep my combat shotgun, methinks - fits the look better for this toon.
