My husband is alrdy sold on this.. though we have always been a one mmorpg at a time family.. i prolly stick to MoP

but what do you guyes think ? something u will try?

...Depends. A MMO is vastly different then open-world single player RPG. I remember a while back there was a Fallout MMO in the works that Bethesda was fighting for the rights for. I guess it depends on how they handle it.

Certainly something I'll keep an eye on. Some of the previous Elder Scrolls games have interested me more than others.

I don't think I'll get my hopes up if it has as many bugs as the other elder scroll games did at release well that's alot worse for an MMO than a offline game ya know?

I think i have only played mmorpg (Everquest 1 +2, Ultima, Anarchy, Warcraft, Dungeon and Dragons, Runes of Magic etc)

Um a MMORPG Is a MMO. MMO = Massively multiplayer online game. MMORPG = Massively multiplayer online role play game.

I think an MMORPG is more along the lines of WoW, Guild Wars, etc., where you have an avatar and do role-playing things. There are other games that are MMO, like League of Legends, that are not role-playing but do involve lots of people. Although, since that is essentially just PvP battles, I might be incorrect (and feel free to correct me if that is the case).

Any MMO with role playing elements is an MMORPG. So saying WoWs a MMO is correct as it is a Massively multiplayer online game. It's just in the subgroup of MMORPG. Theres MMOFPS,MMORTS etc They are ALL MMOs.


If anyone says to you Guild wars or WoW or any other MMORPG is not an MMO they are wrong.

I hope that clears it up for you. I'm trying my best to be as clear as I can be. XD

I don't know how Elder scrolls would be as a MMO but we will have to wait and see. Offline games and MMOs don't work the same.

No, you're mostly right. Still, the Elder Scrolls are pretty much single player games were you can make your character very OP with talents in every tree and such. XD Can't do that in an MMORPG. There has a be a balance like WoW's talent system. Although a different team will apparently be working on it. I don't doubt that the Elder Scrolls world wouldn't make a great MMORPG, I'm just a little worried as Bethesda hasn't done any MMO's... Least not that I know of.
