Lore Questions

Okay, so we know that the Pandaren were all covered in mist and Arthas *cough*Lich King*cough* was apparently too distracted to notice that..misty..place.. over there... *dismissive wave* (I would adore having an animated gif of the female panda /rude gesture purely for times like this!)
So, any ideas how on Azeroth the Pandaren know common/orcish??
A TRIVIALITY! You might say that, but I wonder what ya'll are thinking about that? I love linguistics, so, question posed!

They learned it?
Some did go traveling outside of their lands.

well theres been a few. I dunno. I mean how did the blue space goats know how to talk in common when they crash landed? I dunno. :/ Those questions could be asked for so many races

True, but I'm sticking to MoP since this is the forum section I'm in

The uber leet lore keepers may actually know that stuff! I ran into a similar problem with the belfs not having any impacted history by Cata and it drove. me. insane. It's like they were totally unaffected as a race. Augh.
Anyway, sometimes quest chains can elude to stuff like that. And, if the pandas traveled, then, the Lich King was blind along with the rest of the world since the going premise (thus far) is that no one knew about them.
Despite knowing about them eons ago.
So, did they disappear, and suddenly reappear in lore and language just hasn't developed much over centuries? *looks at a time line of lore and shoves goggles up her nose*

Perhaps Common is just a language used since the beginning of Azeroth, spoken by the titans or whatever. /shrug
Also... game mechanics? <.<
Game mechanics > lore. XD

Everyone knew of them they just did not know where their homeland was as it was hidden. I think I mean both sides knew of their beer.
But Doomcookie's right XD

So, I was so curious I sent a tweet to Chris Metzen and Dave Kosak.

If I'm lucky I'll get a response, haha.

Game mechanics always trumps lore xD Blizz wont give us an explanation to how they can know both orcish and common so convieniently when 90% of them at least have never traveled past the mists into known azeroth. It'd be fun if we happened to see schools tho.. like, what about people who sailed the seas and got lost in the mists and found themselves upon Pandaria? They could of integrated themselves with the pandarens and taught them their language while learning the pandarens at the same time. On one side of the island there could be ruins of a shipwreck belonging to humans, and on the other side a shipwreck of a humans boat stolen (cause orcs didnt have their own boats till thrall settled down in durotar and build orgrimmar. Even then, Kul Tiras controlled the seas so they'd be hard pressed to make their own ships without a third party hassling both races) by orcs 8D

Psh I don't care about game mechanics as my question posed had absolutely nothing to do with it lol it had to do with lore linguistics.. kinda like belfs actually CAN know common since according to lore they were part of the Alliance until that war broke out and they were backstabbed so bad by the humans. Game mechanic = belfs can't speak it. Lore = belfs can.
Xakaal, that would rock! it's like the shipwrecks off in Tol Barad I'm so curious about. How did they get there? Why? What were they after and how long ago? That could be a cool RP angle for someone; a pirate that erroneously navigated into Pandaria. Or an orc war ship. Though, I can't imagine that would have ended peacefully.
I wonder if the intro Pandaria quest chains will speak to this?

*shoves the mangled words and bow under the table*

Well he didn't just 'poof' off the face of the planet. He's just been not seen by anyone that knew him.
