So, did Blizzard officially did away with removing the 1 and 2 handed slots for weapons (and thus made it strictly bow/crossbow/guns)? What about the warlock's 1 and 2 hand slot?

Warlocks can still have an offhand. Offhands werent done away with. Just the ranged slot(bows/guns/crossbows/wands).

The ranged slot was removed, guns and bows are now treated as 2 handed weapons. I think wands are now a main hand weapon. The offhand slot has been unaffected.

For vanity purposes hunters can still equip melee weapons, Rogues and Warriors can still equip ranged, but you can't have melee and ranged equipped at the same time. Blizzard has stated that this was done with roleplayers in mind.

if i can equip melee weapons as a hunter.. can i transmorg my bow into a melee weapon? that would be neat


Also wondering if they finally allowed different types of weapons to be transmorged into others.. Like hunters can transmorg bows into guns, i would love if you could transmorg axes into polearms, staffs into maces etc...

I love staff look more then 1h and offhand so would love to have " transmorg to any weapon u like" feature

No. Transmorg rules havent changed.
