Article in April's Smithsonian magazine about the largest snake fossil ever found. I know it's a perfectly valid scientific name, but couldn't they have picked one that didn't sound like a bad SyFy movie?

Speaking of silly names, have you heard of Montypythonoides? :) Another extinct snake genus.

It's bound to be better than the shit fest they call Animal planet here. XD It's all animal cop shows or animal shows where they give the animals human feelings etc. :s Discovery and National Geographic have better wildlife shows. XD (atleast the versions we get here)
