100,000 Annual Pass Invites On Their Way

We appreciate that everyone who signed up for the Annual Pass is genuinely excited about seeing the new content and helping us test it for release. We definitely want to get all Annual Pass holders into the beta test as soon as humanly (and technologically) possible.
To do so, we need to make sure that our new systems remain stable as we add players. If we let everyone in at the exact same time, we risk damaging the stability of the service, and then no one would be able to play. We can’t let everyone in at the same time; however, all Annual Pass holders will be invited before any opt-ins.
We’re in the process of sending 100,000 invites to Annual Pass holders, and we recommend keeping an eye on your email and Battle.net account for an invite to come explore Pandaria.
Rest assured that we WILL get all of our Annual Pass holders into the beta test. Thank you for the passion and support you’ve shown for the game, and please be patient with us as we continue driving hard toward finishing up Mists of Pandaria and getting it into your hands as quickly as possible.

God I'm so glad they've publicly put information up. I was getting a little annoyed that they just weren't telling us much. I think a lot less people would be bitching if they just told told stuff up straight.

I had feeling they would be letting more people on, when I heard they opened up more zones. This allows people to spread out more.

Yeah I knew they'd do more, I'm just glad they were open about it and told us in a straight manner "AP people are getting invites first"

My computer is six years old. I doubt I'll get in in this wave. Wish they'd have a better way of announcing who gets in, cause my email is bogged with phishing attempts. Kinda funny, what with having almost a trophy collection right now.
A notification when logging into the game's site would be nice, like a javascript popup saying "Check your game downloads" or something.

I just keep my battle.net account open, it's easy to see at a glance if you get a new entry under the World of Warcraft games, plus you'll know instantly if you got in, emails can be delayed sometimes.

Nah I think it is because I had to move my character to my own account in Sept 2006. I don't think they are looking at the age of the character only the account age.

Some other informative blue posts within that thread:
If someone is in the beta it is because:
-They're press or work on an official fansite
-Are friends/family of a Blizzard employee
-Bought the Dell laptop that comes with beta invites
-Purchased the Annual Pass
There have been no opt-in invites.
The invites started earlier today and are still being sent. It will take at least a few more hours to finish, and then tomorrow morning we'll see if there were any that bounced back and resend those, as well as email alerting people to them being invited. Inviting 100k takes a long time.
Annual Pass is a guaranteed entry, there is no consideration made beyond cumulative subscription time and when the Annual Pass was purchased.
Note the bolded part above. Cumulative subscription time would not necessarily mean when you started playing, but how many years/hours of game time you have purchased in total. So don't be too concerned if you started and stopped a couple times, it seems they aren't judging by continuous activity rather than accumulative activity.

Oh thats good. People were making me think that since I had a couple hours last month were my account had run out before i renewed itd make me be at the end lol

I have yet to get mine, I really hope I get in on this wave.
On a side note if you go here
Beta Forum Feedback if you are able to create a thread or post you are most likely getting in soon. If you can't that doesn't mean your not getting in on this wave it may just mean they haven't got to your account.

No luck for me yet, I started playing in late Vanilla. Perhaps in another few weeks... sigh....
... and... I can't post in the beta forum. Oh well. My RNG luck continues.

hmm missed out on less then a year since about april 05 (free month) started paying may 05. Hopefully I'll get in to do some rigorous pet battle testing

like Veph said just check your BNET account from time to time that what I did when i heard beta oped up.

Does it matter if you're in US or Europe? I'm getting a feeling that europeans are generally getting less invites so far.

I was thinking this myself. I haven't even heard anything about the new wave of invites - it's not even been mentioned on the EU page at all. And I don't know of anyone who has an invite yet.
To be honest I'm not even that bothered. I'll get an invite when I get one, I'm patient, plus the idea of doing all the quests on beta just to do them all again on live... does not sound fun, lol. I just wanted to play the pandaren starting area and decide what I want my panda girl to look like and what class she will be. Oh, and do some exploring and general looking for bugs and stuff in level 85+ zones.

No. EU and US are getting equal invites.

Hmmm well I started playing the game in early 2009 from what I can find on the achievements so I guess ill be sitting and chilling, waiting for my invite for quite sometime.
