Sorry for this possible obvious questions - but I recently joined and would like to make my open signature - but when I go to Profile / signature it says I am not "authorized".

How can I get authorized?

You need to have a certain amount of posts - in fact I believe it might be 5, in which case this topic was your fifth post and you should be good now.
