To beta or not to beta that is the question

With the whole AP thing the main thing I wanted was the mount and the beta acess. I was one of those peeps sitting waiting for beta to pop and all that. When my bro got his, he said I could watch/play it but now im sitting here wondering.. Do I really want to know? I mean I want to know but would it ruin the whole... ooh shiny expansion is shiny. Normally I figured eh its nothing but since I played on the ptr I gotta say it did ruin some experience for me when it came live. Kinda like same old same old but you get to keep the stuff you get kinda thing. I was just wondering what your guys thoughts are about it? Are you worried youll get bored by the game before it goes live or lose all of its "awe" or do you figure its kinda nice to preview, find things, help out blizzard with bugs so you know you dont fall through the zone or dismount in mid air for no reason lol.

The hunter in me wants to know but im still unsure..

It depends on the game itself I guess?

With this I would love to poke on the PTR and do a little bugtesting etc.

Some games though, it totally ruined it. (RIFT -weep-)

I'm really tempted to do the beta, I have an invite because of buying the annual pass-but I did that more for the mount and because I knew I was going to keep on playing anyways.

But, my best friend, who I normally play with, could not afford to do the same so she will not be getting into the beta.

So while I want to go in and play around, I'd rather wait till she can join me and we can have fun exploring all the new things together.

Also, while I like the idea of playing around with all the new things in beta, I know I wouldn't be good at reporting it to Blizzard and submitting bug reports-I'm a little too lazy for all the upkeep in that. And seeing as nothing you do in beta will translate to live, I would rather do all the questing etc on live then in beta.

Honestly..I had planned on trying out quests and stuff..but now I have decided, I want to use the beta for hunter related bugs, like pets and such, and exploring and seeing what I can find. I kinda wanna leave the questing for live so it's new :)

For me, if I get the beta invite, I will probably take it. However, I actually won't do anything Panda-related. I will stick to the old world and see if there are changes, new rares added, whatever. The *new* new stuff can wait for me. :) But then, I also don't think I'll get a beta invite. I didn't do anything to guarantee it, and there's plenty enough people who *did*. ;)

Agreed, I'll try pandas, if only because I won't really roll one in MoP, but beyond that, just basic exploring, looking for graphics bugs or whatnot.

Unfortunately, they've yet to implement their in game bug report system yet. I miss it so much. D:

I am one of those people who will go in and take a look around, probably try out the panderans, test out how monk class works, and a few other things. But, I wont be getting to far into content, like raiding and such. I'll play around for a bit, hopefully test out some new pets and have a better idea what I want for my stables.

Havent read up on changes happening to my other classes like my Druid (aside from yay awsome swim/travel glyphs inc), shammy changes, and rogue. So figureing those ones out on the fly will be interesting.
