This yellow raptor:


Does not appear to be located in Durotar anymore. I went to each spawn area shown on the map below, and all I could find were regular (red) bloodtalon scythemaws. As stupid as it sounds, do the corrupted (yellow) ones only come out during the day or something? I could swear it seems they've disappeared from Durotar.

Edit: Never mind. Of course, as soon as I post this, I walk about 20 more feet and stumble right into one way, waaaaaaay down by the hills next to Southfury River. Go figure.

I suspect that the corrupted stuff in Durotar shares spawn points with the non-corrupted stuff, because every time I've ever gone looking for one I've had the same problem you did. But when I am leveling through, I always seem to be knee-deep in them!

Exactly! I could have sworn they were all over the place before, then I go out there today on my dwarf and saw nothing but a sea of red raptors. Then, I finally found a yellow one, tamed it...and decided I didn't like it as much as the red and abandoned it. I'm hopeless!

The EU-servers seem to have their yellow Durotar raptors...

It was I! I stole them all just for a moment. I had to compare them against a scarf I obtained.

I always seem to find them... but I have that problem with the corrupted scorpids. I usually tame one on new hunters because they're one of my favorite skins ever (first newbie hunter spree, I used to make/delete a hunter over and over, I'd ALWAYS go and tame Deathflayer asap, heh... with the 1.2 attack speed and all...).

I always see the corrupted beasts if I'm just passing through, but the moment I want to tame one (usually being one of the black scorpids), I run around for 20 minutes trying to find one.

It wasn't supposed to look cool, I just patched 3 screenies of the same raptor...

maybe its jsut certain times? though he was dead close to the TB zep so maybe he has spawned but a wild pvper just killed him

The problem with many of them is that since they spawn so close to the Zeppelin towers, the guards will run off and kill them. Unfortunately a lot of the corrupted beasts tend to have paths that bring them within range of the guards. That may be a factor to why they seem so rare at times.

Can't tell you how many times I've tried taming a creature near a guard...

Wouldnt you think the guard would see the hearts and be like "Oh hey its ok they just in wubs" But NOOOOOOOOOOO the guard just HAD TO KILL IT.... Sorry..Guards anger me >.>

Off-subject...ooo, that's a nice new mount. I can tell I haven't checked the list of wow mounts since 3.2.2.

hee hee blizz store im sure they have a few billion left its like 20 euro ... if ya lucky you might of had them gifted to you it took me hhours to work out where my friends got them from
