Pretty disappointing, taking the JC panther mount and slapping some black winged guardian wings on it. And it looks like it's taking a dump when it's flying forward. 
I know, I know, it's only in beta, blah blah blah, but the wings don't look like they should be attached to it really. They look out of place. If it wasn't an obvious JC panther + winged guardian slapped together I might like it a little more but... meh. Not for now. I'll give it a 4/10 for effort.
Edit: I believe it's called an Obsidian Nightwing? There's some new mount files displayed on MMO-C and this one seems to fit that description.

i agree the smooth, soft, feathery wings doesnt quite fit the har, shiny stone body of it.
But the base(the body itself) I LOVE IT O_Q

I like the idea but I hope this will get a lot more work.

Looks seriously unfinished. The wings barely attach to the body and don't match. I'd say wait for another patch or two and then see.

Well it looks like the one without wings is staying and this is just another version, so if that's the case then I'm cool with it.

The flying panther seems to be a 'vial' type mount, a transformation item that people can use to tote others around. Also, creating it reminds me of Voltron lol, combining the other color panthers to make super panther. I would actually love an iridescent sheen added to the finished product of this mount, similar to the twilight hammer's dragon gates or how Chromaggus' skin shimmers pink/green/blue at different angles. Would make sense considering it's a gemstone beast. Look up rainbow obsidian. I love that stuff and the shimmer would really make the mount pop!

Definitely looks cool, if they can clean up the concept considerably. As it stands it looks like FrankenCat.

/Glad I'm a JC--I love the normal one, even though I'm not usually into gaudy stuff. And this one actually... I like it >.> The wings' attachment points are odd, but I think that otherwise they actually look pretty cool!
Edit-- It looks like there is
more than one version of this mount. Go to about 1:40--there's several versions, and in neutral lighting. I think the silver-armored one without any bright colors looks pretty good with the wings.
Edit again --
now they know where it's coming from. 5x Something Expensive (lal) per mount, and then they combine to make the Nightwing. Whoa.

If the wings are going to blend in with the rest of the mount then it might actually look relatively not bad. I like the idea, I LOVE the black onix jewel cat. But I'll have to wait to see it at a later date before really making a final call on it.

The "Something Expensive" made my day.
But I do shudder at thinking about how crazy the AH prices will be when this goes live.
