First pet for my blood elf

I got my blood elf hunter up to 10, but haven't chosen a pet yet. I want something unusual this time. I'm debating over a daggercap hawk, a snow leopard, a moth, or a nightsaber. All of them would involve a corpse run, of course.

Hehe, what about an owl? Would be quite unusual for a blood elf, if you ask me.
Not to mention a fun corpse walk too.
Then again, a ravager would be nice, green or red...
GAH, I ADDED MORE CHOICES, I DIDN'T NARROW THEM DOWN!! BAD RYNO BAD!

A snow leopard is really only unusual at lower levels, sometimes I've seen a dozen of them in a city depending on server/side.
Truly unusual pets would be;
One of the spiders from Bloodmyst, or a dayglow or neon green ravager from Azuremyst/Bloodmyst. You can get the ravagers in theory at lv ten tho atleast.
A moth; blue or tan.
Owl; rarely see them at all anymore and they are lovely. I regret abandoning mine on my orc so much, no other owl has really replaced her
Nightsabers are really just everywhere tbh, usually see them by the bucket load on nelves and have started seeing them ally side too. Both spotted, brown and black.
A dagger cap is rare tho.
Anyways I suggest taming multiples if you can afford the stable slots, and seeing what fits you.

So, tell me, what is this blood elf called and on which server? Something usually jumps at me when I see the character.

To be honest, I think either daggercap or moth.
What you prefer as 'unusual' is your personal preference, as when you level up & get to 80 it's not as unusual; example say getting ghost saber cause she's unusual then see five other hunters in town with the same pet you have? Loses it's uniqueness unless you disregard the popularity.

Surprisingly I don't see many with the Teldrassil owls, so that could be an option:
Boars are great levelling companions, though I always see black or grey. You could get one of the yellow ones to be different as they're also a skin I really don't see often:
Dishu is a great pet to have during the lower levels too if that's to your taste:

I too have this problem as I'm trying to decide when Nevar the orc levels up - I think I have it narrowed down to either A Savannah Huntress(Lioness) A moth(so pretty), A scorpid(Never had one), An owl/raven(just because?), or Dishu(Cheetah ^_^) - But I like you have a hard time picking out first pets

I can only say go with what feels right to you as vague as that may be = /

I'm running into the same problem with my dwarf. I started out with a lynx and after a while it just looked too much like my old druid which bothered me, so I released it. Then I picked up a lion, but I already have a lion on my main so I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep it or not. While I was out in the Barrens I ran into Snort and immediately tamed her (I see hyenas as female), but there are things about hyenas I can't stand (such as how they're modeled after the coyotes and have this weird uni-boob thing). I now have a red raptor from Durotar, so we'll see how that pans out.
And this didn't help you at all! I think out of all those I would go with the moth, reason being that cats are only unique for a while, and I personally don't like the daggercap hawk. I hardly ever see moths and with the delicate frames of blood elves, I think a moth would go rather well.

I went and got a snow leopard.

True, my snow leopard won't be unique at higher levels, but right now it's fun and unique and I like snow leopards anyway.
Nikkrosnl: her name is Kalpana and she's on Nesingwary.
I can afford two stable slots, so I have two more choices to make. And all these new suggestions...lol

You should breed a raptor with the snow leopard and get a hybrid pet...

The raptor doesn't exist!

At least, not when you want to find it.
If I had to make a suggestion based on the above, I'd say wind serpent. Their slender lines and exotic appeal seem to go very well with blood elves (or maybe I'm just too obsessed with "matching").

I want the Leptor! Or whatever it is
I think I will go make the trip to Wailing Caverns. I forgot all about those windserpents. Thank you, Nikkrosnl. But just maybe, I'll try a ravager. I've never been wild about them, but then, I've never had one. And their coloring is lovely. One of the two.
Once I sell enough copper ore to buy a new stable slot (priorities: stable slots, vanity pets, THEN armor and weapons!), I think I'll go get a moth.
But for now, with room left for one more, I think I should round things out with a tenacity pet. Hm.
