Fellow Hunters, what is/are your other favorite class(es)?

When I first started WoW, the Hunter class immediately became my favorite. Ranged physical attacking, pet taming, and I've always been a fan of ranged classes in general. After a while, I decided to try the others for longer than the trial I gave them at the beginning, but none of them really clicked... except for Warrior. Dual-wielding 2h weapons and slaughtering everything around me was so much fun, and when I could finally make a Blood Elf Warrior he immediately became my second main. The Death Knight also became a favorite class, though I haven't put nearly as much attention in it as the others.

Monk has me really excited, I'm hoping it joins Warrior and Death Knight alongside Hunter as my favorite classes.

It took me forever to get into Paladin but now that I have, oh I adore it! I also love Warlock (Demonology), and though I keep trying Druid, I never seem to get past 30. I had loved my shadow priest, but my levelling partner kind of stopped trying. ):

Disc priest for me. :) Honestly, if it wasn't for the whole "eeee pets!" thing, I should have rolled a priest as my main. With that in mind, playing a hunter has forced me to broaden my horizons. Kind of backwards from how most people play, I suppose.

Honestly, I've yet to find another class that I enjoy nearly as much as hunters.

I have an 85 paladin, and while I had fun questing and leveling, he's now been relegated as my glorified bank alt. My next highest level class is a warrior at 60, who I'm also enjoying leveling, but I don't think I could ever focus on a melee character too much. It's just so...different from my playstyle. I admit I'm having fun levelling some melee alts due to the fact they're so different, but they're all for fun, nothing serious.

I think I could really get hooked on a warlock, I've always wanted a max level one, but for some reason I always get stuck around 30 or 40. Eventually I'm sure I'll make it and I'll probably really enjoy them since they're a ranged pet class. Shadow priest is another I'd like to try some day if I can ever stick with a character.

Nothing even comes close to a hunter for me though.

Funny enough I've followed a similar trajectory - dual 2h'ers were the first thing to really grab my interest outside off huntering... DK's check (unholy & frost - haven't gotten around to blood yet)... more recently I've been spending a lot of my time on my paladins (primarily prot specs tho I do have a ret and a resto who I like).

Oh and whoever mentioned wanting to get into druids but not quite managing to do it - yep that's me also. Got my troll up to like 39 but then lost interest. I think it's the fact that druids are so NON-accessorized (by virtue of being in one animal form or another for most of their career, at least for feral anyway).

Got farther on my demo lock (67), but yeah... just can't seem to stay interested in that class.

Will definitely be playing a few monks, already have names reserved. :)

I love my Death Knight, Shammy and Druid. I'm also excited for a monk, after playing one in Beta.

I love my enhance/resto shaman and my prot/holy pally almost as much as I love my hunter.

I love druids. Like Kalliope said if druids had tameable pets like hunters (or like my druid in Pathfinder that has her own Hahadori) they would be my main class. I have two druids at 85 (one feral and the other owlbear/resto) and I love them both.

The other classes I've played to high levels are shamans and warriors, but I usually go on long droughts with those characters until I get the urge to play them again.

For me the choices are.

DPS - Elemental Shaman. I really just enjoy the sheer kaboom of the class. I love playing them, I like the way they look style-wise, and I adore all their spells, and the rotation amuses me. I'm a fan of hybrids, and really love being able to heal myself and others if necessary. If pets didn't exist, then the Ele Shammy would definitely be my DPS class of choice.

Healing - Holy Paladin. While I really also love Discipline Priests, no other healing is as satisfying for me as Holy Pally. I adore the healing mechanics and have felt that they are right for me since the beginning. I generally enjoy healing much more than DPS, and all healing classes and specs have something to recommend them. Still, Holy Paladin stands above the rest for me.

I loved Boomkins before the Cataclysm, vastly preferring them (along with Shaman) to hunters, but the Cataclysm changed all that. On the plus side, hunters have grown in importance for me. I used to have one, and only vaguely enjoyed playing him. I kept him around for the ability to tame pets, and because he was my first character at 80 back in the day. I was very close to deleting him a bit before Cataclysm, but the nostalgia kept me back from that particular abyss, and a race-change brought life back into him (her). And since Cata, I've certainly become best at DPS on my hunters than on any other DPS class I have. Cata has been good for me and hunters, definitely.

Hee, yeah! I don't think it's a coincidence that my priest bonded so strongly with Mr. Wiggles, who is now her "pet;" that's just another sign of me trying to merge the guilds. At least priests have shadowfiends, druids have treants (you can get those in any spec now, right?), paladins have the summonable glowy guy, and shamans have totem "pets" (fire/earth elementals, go!). It's something, right? :/

I really like Druids. Not nearly as much as hunters, but they are my second favorite class.

Aside from the Hunter, my second favorite class to play would be the Warlock.
I find that I am most comfortable and happy playing ranged classes that intergrate companions of some sort into the play style.

If I had to pick anything else, I'd say, as of now, I've enjoyed playing as a Balance Druid and as a Shadow Priest.

Druid. None of the other non-hunter classes come close. But hunters will always be my firm favorite.

Feral Kitty Druid is my favorite. It was the first class I ever played, I stuck with that spec even when people kicked me in Wrath, worked my way to the top during Wrath to be in the top 5 dps of my ICC25 pug group. Now in Cata, I'm usually the top DPS, pulling 30k+. But I've always just love the druid so much for its feline forms.

2nd favorite is the hunter. 3rd...hmm....3rd is probably going to end up being the Monk. What little I've played of it, I enjoy it A LOT. 4th would be the Warlock. x3

I have to say that my hunter isn't my main anymore. :(
Played hunter ever since I started, back in 2005, but after they introduced focus to hunters, I'm playing my hunters less and less.
So now my new main is a protection paladin. I also have a maxed enhancement shaman that I enjoy a lot. And I had the same problem with druids, until I discovered how awesome they are at healing. So now I'm levelling a druid. He's level 83 at the moment, but plan on getting him to 85.
I also have a maxed out rogue that I use purely for PvP. Just love their sneakyness. :P
But I have tried all classes. The only ones that I find hard playing is death knight and warlock. But I guess it's just a matter of learning how to play them. It has been so with the other classes I have levelled.

I second Jessibelle... although I started as a hunter when TBC was out, I was in a guild with lots of druids so made one as my first alt... and loved her. I did the big "main" switch when Wrath came out. I somehow lost touch with playing hunter, as I am a clicker which...oddly, I don't do as feral, where I use keybindings. I just find it very hard now to play hunter. So, for class and playstyle, I'll never change from being a feral dps. I also had to prove myself but now, I couldn't think of anything I'd rather play. I still love hunter, but mainly for the eagle eye ability and all the tracking, but have great respect for good hunters.

I never bonded with any other class... maybe because I love the animal aspect so much.

*highpaw* Ferals for the win

(Also my guild is not giving me a choice on whether or not to get the Glyph of the Stag. They're making me get it. XD)

Oh yes, I'm so making Tev get Glyph of the Stag. I've wanted to ride on a deer since I got into the game, and now I have my chance! *rubs hands together evilly* Here, Druid, Druid, Druid...

The Glyph of the Orca is gonna me seriously try to level a Druid in Mists. I've dinked around with a Druid a few times before, but being able to become an Orca cinched the deal.

/love Orcas XD
