So, as we were waiting to see if enough people got on for a raid, me and my guild started to talk about who would take Garrosh's spot, sense apperently he's going to be killed (*Cheers* YAY! ITS ABOUT TIME!). We started to throw around names as well as reasons why we thought who we said would be the next Warchief. I personally would LOVE for Thrall to come back, but I doubt that will happen (cries), so I feel that Vol'Jin or Baine should be the new Warcheif. As for Sylvanas...I'm just plainly afraid of what she'd do to the Horde if she took over...Imo, shes becoming too much like Arthas. So, what do you guys think? Who do you feel should be the new Warchief? (And please, don't flame or attack people for what they think, I would really hate too see this post locked.)

Well he's being "taken down" so that does not say he will or will not be killed.

It'll most likely be an Orc who will be the next chief. It makes sense after all. Tho I do think Sylvanas is the best race leader of them all XD (thats both horde and alliance. ) Thats not me saying I want her to be chief tho so please don't respond telling me why she'd be bad at it >:( I know someone will do that

Is Saurfang still around in MoP?

I'm voting for Thrall, though I wouldn't count on that. :/

Well the blue post seemed to dismiss Thrall being warchief again recently(saw it on MMO Champion) so my vote would be Saurfang or Eitrigg.

If they ever let a non-orc be warchief, I'd want Vol'jin but thats unlikely.

Didn't think of Eitrigg, but that makes sense. I'd die of happiness if Saurfang took over, though.

Anyone but Garrosh, though if their going to continue with the whole all out war between alliance and Horde it will have to be someonethat hasn't worked with the alliance in the past and I'm hoping it's Our Banshee Queen.

I personally don't think that Sylvanas, who seems to have nothing left to motivate her but hatred and spite, would make a good leader for a diverse group of races with very different cultures and needs.

I think it'd be really interesting if they went with a non-Orc Warchief. I think Vol'jin would do a great job if given the chance. And I think Cairne would have been perfect if he was still alive.

Or maybe it'll be Aggra and Thrall will be First Lady

Technically he did so SOMETHING but he wasn't mentioned much. I think he supported Vol'jin during the Zandalari crap.

It's funny... People name non-orcs for next warchief, and that's all fine and dandy, but it still leaves the orcs without the leader to represent them. <.< But I guess this thread is for warchief speculation, haha.

As for my guess... Well, I think vol'jin would be a cool warchief, and if he made the cut, Rexxar would be a fun Orc leader, but I also think Rexxar would be a cool warchief.

I really have to think it will be another Orc. First off, the Orcs'll need a new racial leader. Second, if it was someone from another race, then either you'd have to have either two leaders (Horde and Orc) in Orgrimmar or relocate the Horde capitol so the new one was in their 'home' city or have some other race's capitol also be Org. On top of that, it'd mean that, technically, Horde had one more leader than the Alliance.

Saurfang would be my Orc of choice, but at the beginning of Cata, it was pretty much said that he's just gonna live out his retirement in Northrend. That makes me lean toward Zaela. I think she'd probably do a good job.

For non-Orcs, well I don't think any of the current big names would want the job or wouldn't be in the running. There's Vol'jin. I think he might be a bit too unhappy with the Orcs right now to want to be Warchief. Sylvanas has kind of gone crazy bonkers and is in danger of becoming a sorta Junior Lich King. Lor'themar has suffered from almost no in-game exposure. Gallywix still doesn't seem to actually exist aside from his pleasure palace. Baine would probably do a good job and has the added benefit that he's got diplomatic experience and is good buddies with Anduin Wrynn (which would give a lot of hope for a peaceful future), but a Tauren-led Horde would probably be a huge change from what everyone is used to and probably wouldn't be popular (with characters or players).

So if I were betting, I'd put my money on an Orc and hope for Saurfang or Zaela.
