Boss wasps are no long teeny tiny and we have QUIVERS.




I haven't seen any other boss wasps, so perhaps it's just this one from ZG, but if people that have them could pull em out and check then report here, that'd be wonderful!

Well I'm psyched to hear boss wasps may be regaining their size - high frikkin time I say.

Quivers. Ehhhh... well they look nice, sure, but I'd like to be differentiated by more than just a quiver, e.g. I want my weapon to show.

And if that's going to be my bow/gun/xbow, then I'd prefer that to appear on my back methinks.

I did see pics of that happening a little while ago - are quivers just one option?

I wonder if we'll have any sort of way to customize the appearance of our quivers...I'd rather not be stuck with something that clashes with my outfit.

And that is why I am logging in rightnowthissecond. Still using the epic quiver from the old quest as a bag myself - not because it's epic, but because it's GREEN. Unfortunately, no quiver on my main, sniff; just the ranged weapon on the back.

Okay, so I just discovered that if you take out your ranged weapon, then put it back up, you'll put it on your back. So it looks like this is something they're working on, but not fully implemented. Now my quiver is gone and... I do not know where it went. XD

Oh hey now... looks like some ranged weapons sling sideways across the back (like yours - from what I can see one end of the crossbow's stave sort of hooks under your arm), whilst iirc others lie flat against your back. That's encouraging - looks like perhaps backslung ranged weaps may look good and not shoe horned in (I've had nightmare images of the heirloom bow's weird bone spines sticking through my chest)

EDIT: and having a backslung ranged weapon doesn't preclude displaying your cloak apparently. Bonus!

Indeed.

Im pretty sure the quiver came from the quest where you use a fire arrow to kill the Yaungols war machines. I had it last night too and the moment I turned in the quest it was gone.

Oh riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! I had completely forgotten about that! My bad. XD

That sounds right. Even if they let you customize quivers, it's still not going to have the kind of visual impact a weapon has (or can have, at least); it would be neat to have the option of toggling back and forth between showing ranged weapon or quiver / ammo pouch, so that if you happen to prefer the look or just don't like the look of your ranged weap, you have an alternative, but otherwise I suspect the majority are going to want their weapon appearing on their back.

Has anyone else with skinning that has a melee weapon that increases skill noticed that it increases your skill now without it being equiped?

Umm, I hope the quivers don't clash with my transmog outfits. I've been so excited to get rid of the ugly agi enchant over my shoulder so I don't want a potentially new thing to clash with my carefully chosen outfits lol. As soon I finish patching I'm going to check.

ETA: no quiver for me and my weapon doesn't show on my back. I sheathed/unsheathed, took it off and put it back on. Nothing different than pre patch for me.

what type of ranged weapon do you have equipped? The last time I checked with a bunch of weapons only crossbows worked and would display on your back, guns and bows did not.

I think you may be right, Ma3lstrom, though I haven't actually tried that myself. (My bow is mogged to a crossbow and I'm in a buggy area.)
