I almost forgot to ask but I noticed last night Dishu doesn't roar. She doesn't make a sound. Anyone else noticed this or have this problem with this skin?

I think all cat skins, save riding cats and lions, don't roar, as far as I know.

If you mean the idling animation where cats stretch and roar, only the large Riding Tiger type of skins (and I believe Loque and Gondria) have a sound to accompany that. The regular 'small' cat skins don't.

If you mean Dishu doesn't roar when you send it in to attack or fight, then I'm not sure.

Humar = lion maned skinned, which has a roar. Dishu doesn't, so he doesn't roar, sadly.

I think the Pride Watchers are the only cats that make some kind of noise when they yawn and stretch.

But yeah, they should apply the same sound effects for all cats. Maybe different kinds of roars for each cat, depending on what kind of cat they are. Even cheetahs can roar (Dishu is a cheetah).

Honestly? I'm kind of glad some of the cat skins don't have an idle sound. I adore my Daishar...but there are times I bring out Tsorovan, my Loque'nahak, because he doesn't make any noise when he yawns and I don't want the continual racket interrupting extended RP sessions. Just me, though...variety is the spice of life and all that.

Lions (all colors - maned...maybe Araga, too?) and riding tiger models roar when they do the idle animation. Small cats do not. Additionally, lynxes don't make any noise when they first go to attack in combat. Maybe that's all small cats? I've only had a lion and lynx so I can't say for sure.

Cheetah's should purr imo and make their little sounds they make irl - since they are the only big cats with the ability to actually purr not grumble and such.

When I had humar he roared too.

That is really strange. I wonder if Gondria does that.

Yeah, they use the riding cat model. So they roar.

I only had a Dreadsaber for a short period of time in my early days of hunting for Loque...I couldn't remember if they had the idle yawn sound or not. Must be getting old and senile...bah! Get off my lawn, you crazy kids! *shakes cane*

That would so cute for the companion pet cats to meow and sound cute when they stretch. Maybe with the white kitten, watch it play with something.

Okay, in summary.

Cats that roar when yawning:
1) "Riding Cat" models: Pridewatchers, Rak'shiri, Dreadsabers, Shy-Rotam
These cats have a very loud 'eeeeeooowr' noise followed by a wet jowl-shaking noise

2) "Maned Lion" models: Humar the Pridelord, Pitch, Echeyakee, Sian-Rotam, The Rake, Savannah Prowler/Highmane/Patriarch
These cats have a shorter-duration 'hrraagh' noise and no jowl-shaking.

Cats that do not roar when yawning:
3) All other cats, i.e. those using the Lynx or Tiger/Un-maned Cat model: Bangalash, Frostsabers, Nightsabers, etc.

A side note that another poster mentioned, the Lynxes (red and brown) lack an 'attack' roar. They make noise while fighting, but if you sic them on something, they have no aggro sound.
