Yessssssssssss! <3333333
SO much better!
They're still boars, but they're clearly getting some attention. Anyone with Chibee tamed who could do a size check real quick please?

I can't wait for them to join the worm family properly.
And ya, yellow is still huge, they shrank blue though

Chibee is not really living up to its "chibi" name. <3

So happy that they're at a reasonable size now!

I hope they improve the texture quality. Its fine for critter size, but not ok in the slightest for pet size

Even if they did, the polygon levels are way too low. They never intended it as a pet and I'm not sure why they're doing it now other than GC was high when he was posting and now they have to honour it
Ah well, some people love them anyway. I just don't expect Blizz to spend more time upgrading it, but it'd be nice if they did.

This... x 1000
Really? Don't get me wrong, The model does have a very "super cute" thing happening (Hell if we are going to be able to play pokemon "pet battles" I guess hunters being able to tame things like look like Pokemon is not off the tables with Blizzard) however, Wain is spot on in regards to their polygon resolution... it's not even funny ha ha... it's just ugly and really foolish on Blizzards side imo
If we can get past the"OMG, it's so fluffy!!! aspect of it, are people actually ok with this being tamable in it's current state? Or do you think it's poly count needs to be fixed...?
............. jut saying.

But...tiny feet!
Seriously, though, I don't see myself keeping a silkworm in the long run. Beta fun is beta fun. Anything positive I can think to say about them would be further enhanced and justified by them being minipets. Part of it is because they don't look as good as they should blown up like this, as Wain's been saying from the get-go. The rest of it is "O_o Attack silkworms?" The concept is flimsy at best and really relies on the silkworms being MASSIVE to be threatening....but that just makes the low-polyness of them stand out even more.
Probably a good idea to do since Chibee really is massive in the wild and of all of them, could use the fixing, but really, the time/effort could be spent elsewhere. :/

They haven't fixed Armagedillo yet, and he's been up since Cataclysm!

*grump* I wish he'd spawn for me somewhere; need to make sad eyes pic. -_- Poly issues or not, he amuses me.

Eh, I don't mind the low quality of them. I don't think I'll tame one (maybe on my pandaren?), but I'm happy for those who wanted them.

I don't expect them to fix it, mind. Afterall, seagulls still look like critters.

If this

makes it into the Worm family, I will definitely keep one

It'd be like having your own pet attack cucumber!

perhaps silkworms and carrion worm types will be added as a new 'Grub' family

I would like them to have a higher poly count, but I'll take them just the way that they are. Silkworms and other larvae make me happy!
As to the argument that they aren't reasonable attack pets, nothing is less likely than moths

There are actually a few predatory caterpillars!

Those silkworms/grubs actually creep me out as a possible pet candidate... XD
I was more like "I'd rather like to find out how in the world she got a Slime pet!! >=D" but then I remember the whole 'It's one of those retired Sholazar Basin ghost 'crocs'.'

I still love the concept of bookworms as pets....although I wouldn't say no to a minipet either. Hint hint.
