I'm not too sure if someone's made a post or thread about it, but I may as well say it while it's fresh in my mind.


So we all know that Cloud Serpents are being added into the game as big ol' Chinese dragon things of sheer awesomeness.
But what's gonna happen to the original Cloud Serpents scattered about the Thousand Needles? Specifically, these things:

I mean, are they gonna take on the actual Cloud Serpent models now? If they did, I'm not sure if that would be good or bad.
On one hand, they become flippin' Chinadragons. On the other, they become untameable Dragonkin. :C

I wonder if someone had one tamed, and it switched..if they'd have a chinese dragon pet. x:

I don't think they will turn into the dragons. It's just a name of the type of windserpent more than anything I think.

I think they'll remain as they are. Just because we found Pandarian cloud serpents doesn't mean the tauren will suddenly stop calling these ones cloud serpents.

At best, I'd be expecting a name change to avoid confusion.

I wouldn't. The natives have called them that forever, why should that change just because of some newfangled 'cloud serpent' up north?

The change wouldn't be related to story. I mean, how often have you seen the name "cloud serpent" in relation to those in the dialogue? It would be Blizzard that have changed the name, and probably pretended they've been always called that way.

Slapper, I think I could get more into your plight if you were to add Googlie Eyes to those cloud serpents. That way I could really understand your dilemma.
