So I was eagle eyeing around in Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and I see this HUGE cloud serpent flying around... and she has a silver dragon around her portrait!










Gee, I wonder if she drops a mount.
(Bets on red serpent god mount?)

Here's her child, who is a quest mob.

I just have to say, I love LOVE that we get quest mobs related to some of the rares. Family!

I love that none of them is unique in that. xD It makes me happy that this is an increasing trend.

So what does it's ability do?

Repels attacks? Can't really say for sure, since it's a zone I can only eagle eye into. Makes me wonder if this is just a thing to prevent from killing her for now or something that has to deal with the mechanic.

Ooh! She certainly looks like a mount-dropper, doesn't she? I wonder if she's a Noah mob and if there'll be a tricky, fun mechanic involved.

I say this about almost everything we encounter. I know he's not the only brilliant dev with a sense of humor, but if the shoe fits...

I have been creating theories in my mind, though...

Like, what if the only way to break her debuff is to get a certain item, they you either find somewhere in the zone (spawns in a random location) or becomes a zone drop if she's up so you have to keep killing things until you get the item. Or with the former, finding the item on the ground or whatever. I think finding the item to break the debuff in the ground would be more likely. Sort of like... The TLPD type thing with a bit of camel type thing.

...god that would suck.

If she is going to be MOPs rare-mount dropper like TLPD/Aeonaxx I can see Blizz adding that extra "challenge" of getting her. I mean, where's the challenge of waiting days on ends for her to spawn?

For all we know this npc could be up for days on live while we try to find whatever will break that shield.

On the bright side however, this prevents random lowbies who don't know what this npc is from getting the mount. It's sort of like they are the anxious child and they poke the metaphorical dragon beehive to only get stung for their action rather then rewarded. In short term 90% less mount collecting rage caused by some random person stealing your mount that doesn't know what it is. (always that 10% they randomly pick up the mechanic breaker and hit the dragon.)

hmm did she even allow you to attack her? (you know where the lil sword shows up instead of the hand?)

Yes, it totally is. The terrace you see behind the Mogus on the login screen is the Horde capital in Pandaria.

Definately look forward to playing this expansion. Definately not looking forward to camping this rare-spawn if he drops a mount

She's gorgeous! It's gonna be tough to kill her but if she drops a mount I can force myself to do it. Hehe!
