After a bit of extreme boredom (and re watching Spirited Away), it got me to thinking what new skins would you like to see in the game? You may either describe or if you are bored enough, illustrate what you would like to see.

I put together a quick little recolor of a "Haku" colored Cloudserpent.


And this one I made awhile ago but i decided to include it.

Oh my god, Haku! <3 <3 <3 I would camp for MONTHS for that mount. Not even kidding. Spirited Away is one of my favorite movies, if not my very favorite.

I approve of both. I am also always open to having more blue things around.

The new skins I would like to see is practically EVERYTHING wain has come up with in his skin mashup thread and other similar threads.

I love Miyazaki films as well!

I like the Haku color; I'd also like a silver w/blue and a gold w/green.

Seconded, the old world models need some love, too. But I don't want them completely replaced with the new models, otherwise we'll lose the world variety of different creatures. A few more polygons, a sharper texture, and adjust the hair polygons on things like lion manes, hyena ruffs, etc. Leave them the same shape, just polish them a bit. And some adjustments to the skeletons where needed.

Thirded. I've been wanting this for a long time. If we could get old world lions to have the same polygon count as Sambas without changing overall look, I'd die of joy.

I want so badly to tame one of the tarantula models for my orc huntress but I just can't get over how bad they look compared to the other spider models. Most of the time, I am able to look past the obvious dated features of some pets but this is not the case when it pertains to the tarantulas. I have a huge problem with their mouth-pincers where there should only be fangs and limbs that look like their adorned in bell-bottoms. The eyes of the red and grey tarantulas also bother me. They look to me as though a kindergartener stuck cartoony stickers on the creatures and called it a day.

I could do without the introduction of new pets for now if Blizzard would focus their attention on the (vanilla-era) beasts we currently have in-game. Like other forum-goers, I'm not wanting a complete alteration of the original designs (like comparing The Rake to Sambas) but rather improving on what's already there by enhancing their shading, smoothness, and overall, general detail.

This, and allowing untamable species to become tamable, like Hydras for example (hint, hint, Blizzard)!

Overall, I'm already very grateful for the love and attention we've received as a class over the years but it still seems like Blizzard is so driven on their future developments they've forgotten about some things they've done already that could use a good tune-up and polish.

Myrrmi, I attempted to see what a snow leopard reskin would look like on the new cat. This is actually the first time that i have ever tried drawing snow leopard spots. They are a lot harder than I thought they would be. It doesnt quite look like a snow leopard but i blame that partially on the model not having a big fluffy tail and my lack of practice on how to draw their spots XD.



May attempt a clouded leopard next if I get bored again.

For any model, old or new, i would like to see more realistic skins. The spots on the old cats do not look real at all. They need some variety in their spots.

I'd love a green warp stalker that isn't.... puke yellow. >_<
I'd love a dark green warpie I think... hard to imagine it, really. XD Dark green with dark brown or black markings and horns/spikes/claws

The snow leopard looks lovely, but I'd definitely love to see you do a clouded leopard pattern. That's my favourite

This! So much this. There's sooo many cat models and most of them look terrible. They're dated and very blocky looking. I refuse to tame something so awful looking. Even the frostsabers are blocky but I can at least stand them.

So where are Wain's mashup threads? I can't find them.
