So last night on Gilneas server on beta GM Xelnath decided to hang out with the hordies in Org. He let everyone ask him a question and mine was "Will Hydras ever become tamable?" and his response was "No. Hydras will never be tamable and they're ugly"

Well. Like I said. The "and they're ugly" part at the end makes me think he was just being silly.

GMs are not developers so it's pretty pointless asking them anything about potential game content that may or may not be implemented. GMs are there to enforce the rules and guide the player.

I suspect (but don't know) we're not going to see them soon, since it's starting to look like all the new families have been chosen. But I don't believe they've been ruled out for the future.

Last time I checked, GMs have very very very limited knowledge of anything that is handled by the developers. This is confirmed daily in the customer service forums.

This us something we're known for a while. Why exactly is anyone believing this? The way I interpret it is him joking with the asker because of how often people feel like asking GMs about things they don't know.

I'm surprised his response wasn't "delete your WTF folder and reinstall you wow." But I think GM's like to mess with people too so who knows, some of them have a really good sense of humor.

Exactly this.

GMs have been known to have conflicting answers over the same information. Also the fact the GM said "they're ugly" seems silly, so they sound like they were really just having fun with you.
