Thanks to Noah (I believe) there's now a second raptor mount that is tameable: the Drakkari Raptor Mount in Drak'Tharon Keep.

Unlike the Pandaria one, this one is low on the bling, as it uses the primitive-looking basic riding raptor model. But it has that really awesome (and a little creepy) iguana face.

It only comes in one colour, orange with indigo stripes, but it's quite lovely. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a matching mount available




If only they'd made a non-saddle version of that model. Ah well

One of the old school raptor mounts was that color. Also now I'm getting a raptor just because of this color/model, hope they make more of them.

Sadly I think this is currently the only other free-standing raptor mount that isn't friendly or some sort of mount vendor decoration. So if they add more it'll probably have to be by adding new NPCS :/

BTW, in case anyone's wondering... no, the Amani Bears are still not tameable. Nor is Azurebeak (aggro Hawkstrider in Netherstorm).

I'd totally tame this model, but I never did understand why a hunter would send an encumbered (by the saddle) pet into battle.

I almost teared up. I really almost did. I've been going in and out of Drak Tharon Keep since Wrath because I always wanted that raptor.

I hope we do not lose the opportunity to tame that one, because that is by far the one raptor pet I would never get rid of. I love orange, and that one has the shade in the best possible way.

Nice, this is the only mount model that I'd be tempted to tame. I love the non-epic models...just wish we could get a nonsaddle/bridle.

I am very happy that these riding raptor mounts are tamable, these models are the raptor models that i LOVE, dotn get me wrong, I really like the other raptor models, but the ones with the horns and the feathers, are just pure win!

Agreeing with Makoes, I love these models of raptors the most...if they introduced some without the saddles and bridles, that'd be so awesome. I love their iguana heads!

Now if only we can get a wild venomhide mount model thrown into the game as a killable mob and flip the tame switch to on....

That's what I do currently with mount tameables. It can totally work!

The fact that an originally untameable saddled raptor became tameable? Means to me that yes, these are probably *meant* to be tamed. That makes me happy!

omg I absolutely love this raptor! I named my Sunset, and she's going to find a way into someones stable. She's just so gorgeous! <33 I especially love what different lighting effects do to the skin.









I'd love to see some more of these raptors put into the game as tameable. I love them!
